Any 1:1 alternatives that aren't $1700?
>stack two 16:9 on top of each other
>get 16:18
if you want muh vertical space grab a cheap 16:9 and rotate it sideways
>>54321266
plus ugly bezels

9:16 sucks.
5:4/16:10 are your best productive bets.
>>54321275
This.
I only program on portrait 16:9. I would literally never use anything else.
Comfortably hold 2 pages stacked or 1 godly page.

I am but it just ins't enough
who 1280x1024 ?
>>54321275
Recommendation for good and cheap 16:9?
Preferably high res.
>tfw I put my two U2515H vertically and next to each other for maximum productivity at a comfy resolution of 2880x2560

I'd get Dell's Ultrasharp 2515.
Seems decent enough.
In the trash because they're worthless

Is this good?
>>54321249
holy moly that's my dream monitor, what brand?
>>54321593
Eizo but its fucking $1700
>>54321430
2x, not by choice tho
You can probably get a Passport for like $5 at this point.

The asus PB258Q uses the same panel as the dell but gets rid of the displayport out (so no daisy chaining multi-monitors on a single display port), and they removed the USB hub.
But besides that the Asus model is identical to the dell and is usually cheaper (I got two for $265 each)
The bezel is tiny and the stock stand allows you to rotate into portrait if you want.

1:1 and 3:4 disgust me. I literally get nauseous when looking at them. I don't know why, they actually seem hella good, but their sight repels me. Wtf is wrong with me?
>>54322318
> usually cheaper

Not in my country

I feel the same. I think it's either because we're accustomed to see rectangular screens. Not even the old TVs were 1:1, they were all 4:3 which is slightly rectangular. 1:1 look rectangular but are in fact literal squares. Feels like an optical illusion
>>54322486
That''s retarded. The dell for ~$340 isn't a bad price, but considering I got my Asus for $540 for both, I can't see how they can justify over $400 for 1.
>>54321291
Plus 2014
>>54321323
>5:4
>16:10
>not using 21:9

for what purpose?
