Besides COMMON SENSE, what is the best antivirus out there?
>>54321083
defender and the occasional run of MBAM if you're paranoid
anything else is intrusive, botnet, snakeoil (literally)
>>54321083
formatting your hard drive works pretty well
>>54321093
Isn't defender shit-tier?
>http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/ with hostsman so it stays up to date
>Nod32 or Avast, whatever works best for you
>monthy scans with MBAM
>>54321083
>ad blockers
>no script
>>54321093
Malwarebytes is utter fucking shit, I can't believe it still gets recommended. The free one anyway, even Windows Defender catches more than it lel
>>54321083
Innoculation tools - Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, uBlock Origin, Bitdefender USB immunizer
Protection tools - EMET, seriously not enough people use this thing
On demand Scanners - ClamWin, MBAM, Spybot S&D (again)
Real time scanners - None, they all suck, Windows Defender if you really want something placebo
MBAM for monthly scans, Bitdefender if you must have real time protection
>>54322121
Actually no, it doesn't. If you look up some benchmarks you'll find out.

Avira, BitDefender, Comodo, AVG, Avast
Adblock.
Get pirated shit from private trackers.
I use MSE and I have the feeling that it does literally nothing but get paranoid over cracked exes.

*tips tinfoil hat*
Windows defender is decent if you use W8 or W10.
This doesn't apply to W7 cucks.

>software that wastes RAM and CPU cycles to depict a useless robot image
>"""custom themed""" software
Windows users everyone
i've used avast ever since it was version 4.7.
it's just now that it has turned into a bloated piece of shit.
i'm thinking of moving to eset.
>>54322502
It's not that great but you can just innoculate then forget about it.
>>54322844
>tries to shitpost on AAA software to justify his free software with heartbleed and other shit major vulnerabilities.
>>54322761
Do you have updates on? Last time I tried to use MSE it refused to update itself, apparently due to "problem" with windows update and I have no intention to turn updates back on anytime soon. I would honestly prefer it over comodo since it's lighter and less bloated I use AV for placebo pretty much anyway. Gives me ease of mind.
