F.lux is finally out for android
>doesn't tint your screenshots
>it tints your navigation bar, unlike some other apps
>it's tiny and fucking simple; no useless material design bullshit
>it tints your screen orange instead of red, like twilight
The only downsides it has is that it requires root (at least for now) and that you can't pick your location manually. Oh, and it requires 4.0.3 or above.

Android 4.0.3*
Also forgot the link.

Cyanogenmod already has all of this, and it's free software.

Well, yeah, but CM doesn't run nice on every phone..
>not using chainfire's
>not using CM's
Consider sudoku.

>not free software
It's likely malware

CF.lumen has been out forever. What does F.lux do that the former doesn't?
Hi, f.lux dev.
>>54319549
..... So does cf.lumen?
>>54319719
>requires 4.4 (and even 5.0+ for the latest version)
yeah sure
How about something that doesn't require root?
If it requires root then it's broken by design in my books.

Twilight.
What are the advantages of F.lux/twilight over simply calibrating the screen to reduce blue light? Pic related
>>54319885
Flux, twilight, etc will all auto-adjust depending on the time of day and depending on your location so that it correlates with your geographic area's sunset/sunrise.
CF also has the ability to adjust to ambient light, in case you're in a brightly-lit room at night, for instance.

Those apps can automatically enable the filtering after the sunset, and disable it once the the sun rises.
It's more convenient than changing those values every time.
neat
>iOS has night Night Shift built in
Apple wins again, fags.
Even China has it built in

I'm embarrassed for both of us.
