70 fucking degrees when playing FUCKING LEGO MOVIE VIDEO GAME? Really? I got this card this fall and I slashed through Arkham Knight without surpassing 65. Now this? Even though I've added two 1200 RPM fans to the tower? It idles at 36 which is great but what the hell? What should I do?

I'd be more concerned about your motherboard. Something is wrong with the temps.
>>54311240
113 is the magic number for speccy temp bugs on motherboards
>>54311240
It's obviously a wrong read because the mobo itself gives me 27 degrees. However, I believe the GPU reading is precise. What the fuck should I do?
>>54311218
Not sure if troll but 70C is totally below normal temps when gaming. You should check out your mobo temps tho.
>>54311218
Turn vsync on you fucking moron.
>>54311283
It's normal for graphical powerhorses but fucking Lego Movie Video Game? My brother played Rise of the Tomb Raider recently and he got below 80.
>>54311218
is v-sync on? If not your card is probably going full tilt trying to give you 90+ fps when your monitor can only show you 60 fps due to it's 60hz refresh rate. That and the stock fan profile on Maxwell cards is rather reserved. I have an EVGA 980ti Classy. It cooks up to 72C while gaming with the bone stock fan curve. I set a very mild custom one where the fans come on a little sooner and I play the same games at the same fps at 52C just by having the fans at 30% rather than 5%.

So? Who seriously cares about the temperature of their computer? It's obviously not outside the range of what is considered tolerable by nvidia, so who gives a shit? It literally doesn't matter as long as it's below 100°C.

Oh shit you're right! I have to tell my brother to be careful next time. Such fucking idiots we are. We both know what Vsync does but we never deduced that it could help temperature, something that we really care about since we're both poor as fuck and this shitty card is all we could afford.
Thanks.
1. install MSI afterburner
2. set fan to 100%
3. done
>>54311369
It's a pretty good card for 1080p, not really shitty. Unless you're an autist who has to have everything on ultra with 300fps.
>>54311382
4. Use headphones
Don't fan start spinning until 60ºC or so.
>>54311761
5. Profit
>>54311761
>he doesn't have a near silent gpu even with 100% fan usage
Sucks to suck
>>54311218
You have shitty pressure/Airflow in your case.
Get some noctua fans and get negative pressure on your case.
