Dolphin was too slow for me so I switched to thunar. I can drag and drop files to firefox just fine, but wish I could do the same in reverse. Would make saving images a lot easier.

Try out pcmanfm, it's what I use
use xfce instead of kde desu. then set up whisker menu/docky/whatever application launchers you want, use terminator or other terminal multiplexers, fuck around with browsers and find one you like. if you don't like xfce try going full rice with i3 I guess.

Why is this?
Not OP, but I switched from win7 to arch two weeks ago. A pain in the ass to install and learn, but I'm pretty happy with it.
