I really don't know why other distros don't come with installed packages for it, because it looks very nice.
For coding hands down the best is Consolas
When I am forced to print to paper, it is usually the old classic MS Times New Roman because the requirements.

Times new roman looks like shit. I'd recommend just using a font like liberation which is close enough in size and stuff that most people won't really notice.
