I have 2 servers in my LAN. One of them is owncloud. Both servers use port 80. So i setup router to port forward owncloud to port 84. So lets say when i want to use owncloud from 3g network i connect to my.domainname.net:84. Router then connects me to my server with owncloud. BUT owncloud server works on port 80 and i cant change that. This is when /g/ comes in. I need some sort of port forwarding on server, owncloud is running. This means server must take packets from port 84 and forward it to port 80 so owncloud server applciation can work.
Thnak you for help.
>>
why not just change listening port on apache that you run owncloud on to 84?
>>
>>54306913
i use nginx. will try to change that brb
>>
>>54306855
Just change the port Apache is on. You should be using HTTPS though (443).
>>
>>54306964
same shit with nginx, just change listening port and thats it, also like other guy said
>>54306968
you should be using https anyway
>>
>>54306968
I am.(trying to change SSL from 443 to 444 to)
>>54306983
It works only if i access it from LAN. If i try to acces it from 3g network it doesnt work for some reason after i change listen ports.

You shouldn't run a server if you are retarded. I bet that your server is insecure as hell.
>>
>>54307050
You have to learn it one way ore another.
>>
>>54307026
if it does not work from outside then you propably did not forward ports properly
>>
>>54306855
Why do you have your webserver and owncloud on two different machines? Isn't owncloud nothing more than a website to be served by a webserver? Why have it on 2 machines like that?
>>
>>54307168
one server is for website and ts3 server. other server (raspberry pi 2 i'm playing with) is for owncloud. and both servers use port 80
>>
>>54307098
if i ping connection it comes to my owncloud server but owncloud doesnt work. i double chacked ports and they are opened correctly

...that doesn't quite answer my question on why the fuck you're running 2 webservers.
Anyway, instead of fucking with ports I'd probably just add a virtualhost for owncloud and have it redirect to the local ip address of the owncloud server. No need to have your router forward to two different machines.
>>
>>54307207
Ping uses ICMP so it does not really help you with trying out your http port forwarding.

Stop your webserver and start listening netcat on port 84.
Then connect with netcat from 3g and see if you connect to your listening netcat session
>>
>>54307280
i connect but i cant access owncloud. but if i set everything to port 80(router ports too) it works with no problem so maby its problem of owncloud?
>>
>>54307325
I doubt that is a problem with owncloud, im running my owncloud on port 8080.

You are most likely doing something horribly wrong, but its hard to figure out what it is.

why the fuck is server_name set to your local ip?
you should put your wan ip there i think
>>
>>54307516
its LAN ip. if i turn off other web server and then change port from 84->80 and 444->443 it works on 3g

doesn't your router let you specify wan and lan ports.

you mean source net?? HOLY FUCK i think i realized now
>>
>>54307481
server_name isn't an identifier.
It used as a destination for requests. In other words, your server now listens for requests made to "192.168.1.43" on port 84. This means the server will only respond to requests from within the local network, as requests coming from the internet are likely addressed to either your external IP or your domain name.
If you need the server to respond to requests from the internet, you need to set the server_name to your domain name or your external IP. If you want it to be reachable on my.domainname.net, than that's what the server_name needs to be.
>>
>>54306855
Reverse proxy my.domainname.net:80 to ownCloud and other.domainname.net:80 to the other server with nginx or whatever reverse proxy you have on your router
>>
>>54307740
ok will try that
>>54307762
working on it

>>
>>54307809
