The XPS definitely has better bezels on the left and right, no contest there. For the top and bottom it looks like all the bezel piled up on the bottom which is awkward as fuck.
Both the 13" and 15" models would look way better if they ditched 16:9 and opted to fill more of that bottom bezel with screen so the bottom bezel height was symmetrical with the top keyboard bezel, as shooped here.

Ive replaced laptop screens before too. Thing is putting invernet in body isnt a good idea because connection between screen and inverner would be too fragile and prone to damage and it would mean less space for battery.
Also xps is touchscreen and a lot thinner than that macbook, while thinness is a meme, touchscreen probably requires a bigger inverter. Also macbook doesnt have a webcam which is something consumers care about and if youre going to make one bezel thicker for sake of putting webcam in there, it looks best if bottom bezel is thicker than others.
