Not OP but in my opinion XFCE is actually nice. While yes,I admit the design looks a bit like Mac (I could be wrong tho),it looks pretty lightweight and simple to use.

xmonad is the coziest wm, works almost perfectly with default settings and absolutely thr best multi monitor support I've encountered
