Tell me how do you change your boot order without reading wiki
>>
It is a great distro sure, best? Nah
>>
>>54296060
They have surprisingly good support of anything AMD. I have some laptop on AMD platform which had originally pre installed suse and I don't know what kind of magic is involved but this laptop has faster boot times and better overall system responsiveness than debian or ubuntu with same DE.

But making suse bootable usb on non-suse system is such a pain in the ass.
>>
>>54296060
unstable, dependencyshithell because of yast2. I fucking hate yast so much. I made my whole company go to debian and we are running this for like 3 years without any problems.

Haven't tried it in over 5 years. Why would I use it over Manjaro/Debian/Ubuntu? Legit question.

I seem to remember installing Java was a complete ball ache. Other than that it's not bad.

Font rendering is absolutely shit tier out the box though, shame since everything else looks rather fancy

>But making suse bootable usb on non-suse system is such a pain in the ass

1. Download Rufus
2. Download opensuse .iso
3.use Rufus to make a bootable opensuse usb
>>
>>54296373
Yast has a gui tool that let's you change the boot order iirc.

Don't get me wrong -- I'd use Ubuntu if I needed it.

It's just that Canonical treats free software as a means to their corporate ends, not as an end in itself.

Actually binary distros sucks, they too slow and not flexible as source-based.
>>
>>54296060
Better choise is fedora/arch/gentoo, they uses wayland instead xorg from 1980's

AntiX
AntiX will get you laid more often than any other OS
AntiX fits on a goddamn fucking CD in the year of our Lord 2016
AntiX runs on mid tier computers from 1995
AntiX is Love
AntiX is Life

AntiX is the best operating system
Suse is for nerds
>>
>>54296060
It's prolly the best distro in the "for normies" category but normies don't actually use it. So it's pretty much pointless and dead.
>>
>>54296060

Opensuse is Fedora that worked.
>>
Yast is slow compare to Synaptic Package Manager.
>>
>>54297353
But fedora works better because it not use X
>>

I thought they won't be using wayland by default until Fedora 25 releases.

I'm installing OpenSUSE since I "upgraded to W10" and need OpenSUSE now... What should I use? Tumbleweed?
>>
>>54300363
Follow up question: I Have 80GB worth of SSD. Should I give openSUSE 40GB is that enough or over kill and do less? I do need my windows os for other work on C# /visual studio etc.
>>
>>54299893
MAN pages?!! I'm a strong, independent developer who don't need no stinkin' MAN pages tellin' me what to do!
>>
>>54300509
man pages are unreadable pieces of shit written for 60 year olds.

Wiki pages are fuckton better if you are not a pretend 1337 haxxor
>>
>>54300363
Tumbleweed is GOAT, never have to worry about upgrades again. Make sure you are using ext4 and not btrfs as btrfs will kill your space with snapshots. 40gb is doable. Currently have 20gb for my root partition, and I'm only using 13gb.
