>>
>>54287210

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/138349

Windows 95 only required 40MB, pretty sure it could render webpages suitable for transmitting messages.

Why are all programmer-chucks so pathetic at their trade?

Mechanical engineers make planes lighter, civil engineers make buildings cheaper, electrical engineers make electronics more efficient, and computer science nerds just get fatter and more needy...
>>
All smartjews are botnet.
>>
>>54287236
Why what? Why program in js? Because it's developer's preference.

Of you you think runtime for stuff used natively in your OS is smaller, you're in for a huge surprise.
>>
>>54287268
Civil engineer here, if I had to build a house with 20 years ago standards it would cost a fraction of what it costs now.

Guess the same goes for software.

>>

While that is true, my experience is that like for like structures are massively cheaper.

I'm a mech, so pretty much everything is cheaper when comparing like for like.

A house build with standards from 20 years ago would still be just as strong as house built with today's standard. It might lack few things like ethernet jack or led lighting, or solar panels, but it would still be structurally sound and comfortable to live in.

If given the pricing difference and the available choice, anyone would choose this.

>>

it's a complete mess on android.
force closes, slow, fails to load history/takes a few seconds to pull up history, couldn't send videos for the longest time (not sure if it does now).

this is after the app was overhauled. it was significantly worse before.
google doesn't even set it as the default sms app any more.

the hangouts android team is possibly the worst google division.
