Got a new phone recently. What are some apps that you think deserve more attention?

>some of mine
Flynx - open links in the background without popups

Enpass - password manager

Flud - simple torrenting app. Just werks

NetworkMonitor - refer to the pic, left too corner

Feel free to tell me to McKill MySelf™ because your apps are superior.
>>
Chromer - Opens links in chrome custom tabs (also does pre fetching of links and shit)

Tasker - Automation and shit. You can do basically anything with it. Not really underrated though.

Tholotis - Lets you make cool blurred backgrounds from pictures on your phone.

Keyline Pushing - Absolutely a must have if you are an android developer. Extremely helpful for making sure your app is following material guidelines.

Kodi - Media player. Has a bunch of plugins and stuff for streaming tv shows and movies for free.

Tapet - Generates random material design wallpapers

Robinhood - Free stock trading app. Good for beginners getting into trading. No options though.

I'm not the guy who posted that but I can answer to most of those questions.

It goes as play credit, it wont ask you for cc info. Idk if you can use that money outside the playstore. I've only payed for apps with that money. It's pretty good if you are in USA, I live in another country and I receive almost no surveys, so I just wait when apps are on sale so I can buy them without spending all that money I earned in google rewards

Wow, I had no idea there was an app that would let me browse manga without downloading it.

Is there a similar app for western comics?
>>
>>54284464
I haven't found any. IIRC, unlike manga there are no websites were you can read comic books online so there is no way you can have apps that do the same as manga apps. You could try comixology and those type of apps.
>>
Probably the best place to ask right now, is there am apk for Drastic that wont crash when opening settings or trying to load/save a save state? Servers ultimate pro - let's you setup a fuckload of servers from your phone. DHCP, TFTP, etc.
Fing, Network Discovery, Network Mapper - 3 different nmap like tools. Only fingers will search over VPN.
RD client - Microsoft RDP client. Fantastic.
Watchlist - vSphere client. You can't do everything but many things.
Connectbot - local terminal and SSH client. Bretty gud.
inSSIDer - same as desktop app.
Owncloud - client for owncloud.
Network monitor mini - shows actual transfer rates.
OpenVPN connect - OpenVPN client.
SA contacts - convert contacts to and from a bunch of sources.
Torque - interfaces with my $15 OBDII bluetooth scanner and gives me a shitload of info and options.
VG collect - interface for their website so I can always see what games I have. I have a ton so I don't want to rebuy games by accident.

I don't use that much apps on my phone, to be honest. It remains most of the time in standby - I can go a whole week without charging.

>Explorer (free version of Root Explorer) - it's a file explorer with a decent set of features, while still remaining lightweight. Only downside for me is that there's no root access available in it.
>zArchiver - it archives and compresses stuff, but is also a decent file explorer
>terminal emulator - I use it just to fstrim my device occasionally, but an experienced linux user might find it useful
>Twilight - I don't believe the science behind it, but it makes my phone usable at night - without blinding my eyes. I also use f.lux on my desktop.
>VSCO - for photo editing on the go

>>54289687

CF.lumen is better on OLED displays. Twilight simply puts an orange overlay on EVERYTHING, which gives the blacks an orange-ish tint. CF.lumen, however, leaves blacks untouched, so your OLED screen effectively stays darker.

Also you can get all of CF.lumen's options for free, which is a plus.

QBitTorrent Client Pro isn't a torrent client. It's a companion application to manage a QBitTorrent server or some shit.

>>54291776

For the same reason you would want to torrent on a desktop. Rather than torrenting on one machine and then transferring the files to your phone, you could torrent on your phone. As for battery life and bandwidth concerns, just torrent off your home Wi-Fi connection while you're sleeping and the phone is charging. The files will be there for you when you wake up.

BuluManga - A completely 100% free way of reading anime without having to download shit.

Action Launcher 3 - A more simple launcher based on Marshmallow that I like more than Nova

Atomic - a great IRC client

Collateral - a reminder system that lets you create notifications that will remind you to do crap.

GMD Gestures - great gesture app that I use when using Waze/GPS in the car to easily goto the next track playing in Google Music. Lots of customization.

Flat Style Keyboard(root+xposed) - a great way to modify the already awesome stock android keyboard. I made my keyboard pure black with gray keys for my amoled display.

Feedly - a great RSS reader

Flud - my torrent client of choice, clean, simple

KinScreen - I use this because I like having my default screen off time to be short but I dont want it turning off when I'm actually reading from my device. This has many ways to customize your screen on settings

Naked Browser - IMO, the best lightweight browser with Lightening being second place.

LMT (root)- I use this for removing my on screen keys and instead use a gesture to make them show. Very nice and customizable (default settings are gross af, tweaking makes it look nice)

Nzb Leech + - My usenet client of choice

SD Maid - I love this way more than CCleaner

Slide - best reddit client imo

VHS Cam - Makes videos you take with you camera look like a 80s video tape, its super authentic looking with nice features

Yatse - The best Kodi remote for my Openelec Pi setup

Wallz & Backdrops - my 2 fav wallpaper apps. Wallz is great because it keeps up todate with the latest OEM phone walls too

Do you have anything to contribute?

VK (has probably 2/3rds of songs in the existence, but sadly not all of them are in great quality), completely free
Google Play Music, if one would like to upload songs himself

>Nova Launcher
Gives me choice as to how I want the Google Now bar to look like, plus allows me to use

>AppDialer
To replace the default app drawer with a T9 dialer to launch my apps.

>Keycut
If you have one of those switches that plugs into the headphone port

>Clover
For all your shiproasting needs

>CF.Lumen
So you can keep your eyeballs

>ChompSMS
Effective dual-SIM messaging app, and on that note...

>Flat Notification Icons (Xposed)
Because I have a dual SIM phone and having signal bars taking up 3/4 of the notification area is annoying

>MinMinGuard (Xposed)
Because I don't like ads

>YouTube Background Player (Xposed)
Because sometimes I like to listen to weird shit and browse the web

Flyperlink is better than Flynx, which seems to crap out a lot for me.

what fucking signal bars do you use?

Do you have your phones rooted?

Will there ever be a way to root your phone without losing warranty for Android >=5.0?

Playing with the thought to root my new Galaxy A5 for AdAway and Immersive Mode; unfortunately no custom ROMs available for it.

Literally ten seconds maximum. Usually it's 3 questions about where you've been, what day, and how you rate your experience. Lately I've been getting demographic stuff though.
>>54303696
My father didn't get a survey for like six months when I signed him up. Then he randomly started getting some. It's weird.

>Disa
I love the idea but their permissions (I understand most of "social" apps are like that but still terrifying) are a big "No" for me.
>>
>>54304129
I think if you have location services on or post stuff with your name tied to your Google account they ask you about that experience. I don't keep the botnet on cause I already have shitty battery life.
