What's your excuse, /g/?
=================================
Go to about:config
Set browser.tabs.remote.autostart to True
Set browser.tabs.remote.force-enable to True
Enjoy your life.

I don't need it.
I got a SSD and I don't notice any hangs.

>What's your excuse, /g/?

I use Chromium, a superior free software web browser that's had multi-process support for years. Enjoy your beta test. Maybe this year will be the year, right?

I swear /g/ is getting more and more tech illiterate by the day.

Where do I dl the latest Micro Mart? They're talking about the death of Firefox this month.

I use Microsoft Edge.

It's faster.
More secure.
Doesn't care more about womens right than application sandboxing.
Cares more about security and performance than gay marriage.
Is safe to use on a machine with an internet connection unlike sjwfox that got laughed out of pwn2own this year for being so easy to hack no money prizes were available for it.

How can you know it's secure if it's not open source? Did you reverse engineer it?
>>

I got fiddy cent that says he ain't reversed engineered anything other than a worn out vibrator
>>
>>54269830
Being sandboxed automatically makes it 100x more secure than firefox which can only steal chromiums work and still EPIC FAIL at getting even shim to work.

You can shitpost on /g/ or do other unimportant stuff while running Octane/Kraken benchmarks at the same time.
>>
>>54269942
so it's supposedly faster? i've been seeing e10s threads on and off, but i never really looked into it.

i'll try it and see if i notice any difference and how stable it is.
>>
>>54269967
It won't make your browsing faster, it'll just make it less prone to freezing while other stuff is happening in your other tabs.

Try loading 300+ comment thread on firefox and compare that to generic chromium build (I'm using Iridium)

I can't go back to fx anymore. it's just bad on a modern PC even with e10s, unfortunately. I wish we had chrome engine with fx much more refined UI and overall usability

That browser is dead, even the developers say so. It's barely more than an ESR firefox

I got a new laptop recently, hadn't used firefox for years thought I'd go back...

Less than 4 weeks it's already doing the same shit it did 7 years ago, running like a fucking brick. I just found this palemoon 30 mins ago, all I want is the most minimalistic simple quick browser minus botnet

wat do?
>>
>>54270296
browser.tabs.remote.autostart to True
extensions.e10sBlocksEnabling false
dom.ipc.processCount=4
browser.tabs.remote.force-enable to True

These four configs are what I have enabled now. It now works faster.

This new? Please refer to thread music.
>>
>>54270350
>>54270290
Does increasing that processCount thing even do anything useful?
>>
>>54270336
Palemoon is getting more and more unusable because it can't keep up with all the new stuff. It's based on ESR firefox and is maintained by very few developers. And don't fall for the Cyberfox or Waterfox meme either, it's all the same shit.

Personally, I used Chromium for a while but lately it started freezing pages and it became way less snappy. So I switched to Opera, it even offers integrated free VPN to those who wish to use it.

FTFY
>>
>>54270528
The Opera kind of Chromium is more snappy so I don't give a shit, I'm a pragmatic guy, not an autist. Everyone's switching to Chromium, you'll be hard pressed to find a browser that won't be based on it in the future. Unless of course you plan to use ESR firefox.
>>
>>54270588
Opera is literally chromium with chink bloat on top. There is no way it is snappier.
>>
>>54269645
Firefox is botnet.
That's why.
>what proof
WebRTC, anything that supports it is botnet.
>>
>>54270292
Here.

>>54270292
Except it's not at all.
>>
>>54270603
I don't theorize anon, it proved snappier in practice and that's all I care about
>>
>>54269801
because sites with fucked up JS will lock the UI for a good half second. Very noticeable
