What's the best mobile keyboard? I just downloaded WordFlow and I'm really liking it, but I haven't tried so many before.
I like Swype but I use it cus it's been around for a while and works great. Only complaint is that it should use Google voice recognition rather than fucking Dragon dictation which sucks in comparison.

Windows phone has always had a really good keyboard, nothing really comparable on android/ios
>>54250041
stock android keyboard
>>54250041
I use Botnet Keyboard.
>>54250117
Isn't WordFlow the Windows phone keyboard? That's what I just downloaded on iOS.
>>54250041
Swype
>>54250041
Dynamic keyboard.
Changes key touch area based on next letter prediction like on iphone.
It's shit tho, not updated since 2013 and so on but I still use it.
>>54250117
I was really surprised when I saw this feature on a phone.
It looked so stupid yet seems like it'll work. I mean I've seen it on tablets.
Also pretty weird how they brought it to iOS only first

Super swift key
SwiftKey ofc

Use the stock Google keyboard it does the fancy swipe shit.
Phsyical keyboard via a slide out keyboard case
Fuck typing on a screen
>implying there is any other keyboard

You know if you think about it these are kinda like the CRTs of phone keyboards
Most people will agree that they're better but most manufacturers can no longer justify the cost of making them when software keyboards are "good enough" for most people now

I actually got the priv last week and returned it after one day of owning it, I'm not shitting you. Nothing to do with the phone, I actually liked the phone itself. It seemed pretty speedy and the keyboard was pretty good if, though I would have preferred the keys to be a tad more spaced out. The screen was amazing too, and after some tweaking the battery wasn't all that bad. But at the end of the day, an Android without root is a trash operating system for trash people, I got a 6s Plus instead and I'm very satisfied.
If a new generation of the Priv comes out that does get rooted, I'll definitely consider buying. If it gets a custom rom community, I won't even hesitate.
Used CM Keyboard for a number of years. Installed SwiftKey earlier this year and have been trying to stick with it.

I never realized how absolutely hideous black and white themes look until just now.
>>54251184
>wants a rooted phone
>trades it in for a closed source phone with no freedom or customization
Yeah, it's probably for the best.
>>54251328
I don't like unrooted Android because it's unoptimized trash and people who use it deserve endless pain. I like iOS because unlike Android, I don't even feel the need to customize it, it's fluid and suits my needs right out of the box. With Android, I really need to find the right custom ROM.
Nice meme response though, cuck.
>>54250227
They developed the arc feature for six years on a WP7 but never made it to release until now
>>54251328
Unlike Android, iOS doesn't need to be rooted to function properly.
Android's customization possibilities aren't a forte; they're a grim necessity when the stock model is full of Gook adware crap.
Swiftkey or nothing
>>54250117
unfortunately it got really worse on windows 10 mobile
Xperia keyboard
>>54250041
I like AnySoftKeyboard, Graffiti Pro, and Hacker's Keyboard.
Came all over the floor when I got the redmi note 3 and the keyboard had been pre-installed.
I like SwiftKey Dawgs!
>>54251132
I hope they make a major comback like mechanical keyboars did.
>>54250041
Swype, best by test, kills the rest and is high test
>>54250041
SwiftKey is great if you don't mind a botnet

Not on my HTC 10™
Hacker Keyboard, but they're really all the same to me, I just use them to type words in
Sorry about the filter
Fleksy
Fastest and best looking keyboard around
Hacker's Keyboard unless you're a dumb swipefag
I really don't know why but the best virtual keyboard I've used is the one on the PSVita. I know it's not what we're discussing here but all phone virtual keyboards suck by default in my perspective. For some reason, the one in the vita works fantastic.
Google keyboard with all auto-correct and fancy features turned off.
I have been using Swype since it was in open beta and you had to get a new one every few months because it would expire. Used it on Android 1.5 on a Samsung Moment. So I'm really good at swiping. But the shitty dragon dictation and its preference for really weird words over common ones with similar patterns has driven me back to the stock Android keyboard. I tried tapping keyboards but they just don't do it for me.
I did spend a year on Windows phone and the keyboard is the best I've used. Especially after they added swipe input.
Without auto-correct and fancy features you will be able to type fast and almost never make mistakes. In my experience things like swype or auto-correct features only slow you down and cause you to make more mistakes.
Nobody else uses Minuum here I suppose.
>>54251246
That's because you don't have an AMOLED screen
>>54257737
Tbh google keyboard is better
Hackers is stuck on the god awful gingerbread shit
>>54251132
>Most people will agree that they're better
....Nobody thinks this about CRTs.
>>54258393
CRTs are shit, worse than modern LCDs by far for eyestrain unless you get a slow-phosphor display, but MUH GAYMEN.

Point well made but don't be a tripfag.
Hacker's keyboard.
>>54250190
It's close, but still not as good as the native keyboard in Windows 10 Mobile.
>>54258393
Coming from a massive /vr/ hardwarefag, higher response time makes them objectively better for gaming and the lack of ghosting effects is very nice but it's not like ghosting is much of an issue.
otherwise yeah no lcd is better in just about literally every way.
>>54260183
>higher response time
This is a meme though, LCDs commonly have a 1ms or 2ms response time, which is beyond the limits of human perception.
8ms is where you start to actually sense any delay.
