2013 an 2016 are unstable as fuck, 2010 is the way to go in windows. Idk anything about office on OSX, but afaik it doesn't even support macros so I would stay on Windows + Office 2010 32 bit

2010
It's where they made the ribbon UI actually good, and before they devolved into their gay flat UI cancer.
My favorite, and I shit you not, was '97
2016 is fine, I use it every day. It looks a little awkward on Windows 7/8 though since it imitates 10's design.
My rating for each version would be
2013 > 2016 > 2010 > 2007 > 2003 and before
>>54238900
2003 was the last good Office
>>54239211
Can the toolbar be customized anymore and the ribbon trashed or is that "too hard for users"?
>>54239242
Yeah, before gay ribbon time
>>54238900
libre calc
>>54239242
no. 97.
LibreOffice.
>>54239250
Oh boy another 'muh menus' faggot.
The ribbon works fine and can be customized all you like, deal with it you luddite.
I use Office 2010 and the pricing gives you the idea Microsoft does not want people to upgrade. Unless it's shitty 365
>>54239306
No, takes up too much space. Not completely customizable like 97. You just don't know because you're 15. Respect your elders you fucking little shit.
>>54239306
yeah it's not bad once you customize it
>>54239360
no shit, with 365 they see everything you do
>not using google sheets
enjoy crashing and losing your data
Libreoffice.
Stop using botnet.
>>54239298
Fuck no, I downloaded that on my Macbook and it was positively awful.
2016 just werks.
>>54241831
>Libreoffice
literal garbage, even worse that having shit standards.
Office 2013 is fine if you have a problem with 2016
>>54239037
Unstable? Not from what I've seen. Citation required.
OpenOffice Calc.
>not using xml
plebs, all of you
>>54239084
>2010
>all that Vista Ribbon UI
oh boy
2007
Anything beyond it is just UI reskins and botnet integration
>>54242992
2010 is actually nicer. They unified the look of all programs. Also on 7 has nice transparency.
>>54239363
Minimize it and have it pop up on click
>>54239711
>enjoy crashing
But that's what sheets does any time it has to do something more complex than a sum function.
Give me a reason to upgrade from 2007.
>>54243024
I prefer to do everything in libreoffice. I usually give things in as PDF, but on the chances I have to edit someone's word documents or powerpoints I just go with 2007 under wine. 2010 looks nice I guess given Publisher has the old UI in 07, but I don't use it anyway.

Pivot tables in libreoffice give me cancer
desu anyone complaining about the ribbon in 2010 and onwards is a fucking dumbass. Make custom tabs with all the shit you need. If it doesnt exist, macro it and add a button to your custom tab. Boom, every problem solved.
Basically, rice your office. Or to put it into other terms:
uncustomised office = win10 + edge pleb
customised office = arch linux user

>2013 an 2016 are unstable as fuck
not true
>>54243693
the great thing about 2013 is that you can autohide the ribbon when you don't need it.
makes writing a bit easier when you have more of the screen and less distractions.

Amen!
If it doesn't have File | Edit | View, if it has a ribbon, then you've bought pic related
>>54238900
>the 2016 version is apparently poop
eh?
