Compared to the Ikea chair.
It really is a lot better.
It can tilt the back rest all the way back as you probably know. The backrest can also tilt back with the seat itself like the Ikea seat. However, there is no way to lock it in place. It is possible to lock it to stay upright.
The chair and the armrests are height-adjustable. The armrests do wobble around a little bit and are made from plastic. 6/10 armrests. They can be replaced easily though.
The pillows are comfy, easy to adjust, easy to remove. It takes a while to get used to but is is absolutely better for the back and neck to have the pillows on. At least for me.
No tools are required to put the chair together. The fabric smells very new and chemical. Maybe it could give sensitive people a headache the first few weeks until the smell is gone.

Aluminum/Steel or Plastic base?
One of the things I like about the Markus is that all the load bearing parts are metal, unlike other cheap shit chairs.

The base is made from some kind of plastic.
It seems very durable though. I can't bend it anywhere with my hand. I don't think I could break it easly with a hammer either.

I did sit on an aeron. But it wasn't in my pricerange. 900 Euros + more if you want a headrest. Thats insane if you ask me.
I spent 250 on the DX and think that pretty much too.
I guess the aeron must be better. The mesh must be good for hot days, you don't sweat.

I am an adult, I work using a DxRacer Drift series..I work sometimes 10hr days...the DxRacer, at least my Drift series is freaking comfortable as hell..way better than a lot of chairs I have sat in and used previously. Let the little faggots whine about..muh meme shit..they are little faggots who thinks linux makes for a great desktop daily usage OS too.
DxRacers can be as comfortable as any chair..just depends on the user.
I have used Steelcase, Herman Miller..neither have any advantages to a DxRacer other than they avoid the shit the Dx's get.
I drive a Mercedes Benz..sat in a Bentley and you know what..the Bentley seats did not feel better than my Benz's..But shouldn't they? I mean one is clearly a more expensive and supposed to be better than the other because..it is a Bentley after all.

It doesn't take an expensive car to get a comfortable seat. My old Honda Civic had cloth seats way more comfortable than my Toyota Highlander with faux leather seats. There are companies who make great chairs and DxRacer ain't one of them.
OP do you already have a harness and a roll cage? How many lateral Gs do you pull on average?

Honestly, I have not seen any non-gaming chair that even comes close to this.

I have sat in so many shitty office chairs, and I can't go back now.
If there is a decent non-gamer chair that can compare (for under $400), please link me so I can maybe try that out if I ever manage to break this thing (even tho it has a lifetime warranty).
