looks like the one that guy that did the floppy drive SD card reader mod used for reference when he did his skylake mod thing.
Just moved home after graduating college so no desk for my dual BenQs. Not as nice as some of these other setups, but comfy nonetheless.

>Ncase bro
Care if my next picture mimics your top one? I like the angle/leaving the top panel on.
KREBS
>>54211325
Go for it, it's not like I've got a copyright on that angle. :)
Some of your tubing runs confuse me, I'm assuming you're using a side radiator?
Why not
I feel like there could be less tubing in there.
I like it overall though, I never convinced myself to watercool my Ncase.
>>54211391
What do you find confusing? Yes, I'm using a side mounted radiator. The GPU fittings are a bit off, but, I didn't realize that when taking the photos but fixed it before.
So, as far as you can see from the first photo I posted, the loop goes as follows:
>Outlet of reservoir closest to radiator side panel to pump inlet
>Pump outlet to bottom of GPU
>Top of GPU (makes a funky loop around to actually fit the tubing) to CPU inlet
>CPU outlet (another funky loop-around) to radiator
>Radiator (one last funky run, paired with the previous allows slack to remove the radiator while leaving it attached) to inlet on reservoir closest to motherboard.
The reason it's so funky looking was to try and make everything ACTUALLY fit inside. The radiator barely fits as it is, and that was me maximizing it as much as I could.
>>54211520
Oooh, if I had my laptop charged I'd post my laptop guts, also.

>>54211965
Thanks! How do you like the case. I've been considering the Phanteks Evolv ITX.
>>54211965
Thanks man, college was a pain, but I'm glad I went. Couple interviews lined up, hoping to get a proper desk soon.
>>54212055
Best I've ever built in. If the ITX version came in aluminum instead of plastic I'd make another build in that in a heartbeat.
>>54211493
I just feel like you could go
>Innermost res port
>Pump
>GPU buttom right
>GPU top left
>CPU
>Rad
>outermost res port
But I'm talking out my ass, because I've never watercooled, let alone in the Ncase.
>>54211587
Natural light would be better?
In the picture I was at Quakecon, and I didn't want baggage handlers to even get to think about handling my computer so I made sure I could fit everything in one Under-seat carry on.
To do that though I needed a tiny monitor, or to get one when I got to Texas.
There's the GeChic monitors, but those are $300+ which is ridiculous, so I looked around and found the adapter board by AbuseMark that lets you use an iPad 3 LCD panel as a DP display powered over USB.
Bought a iPad3 housing and glass, stuck the LCD and adapter in it and off I went! :)
Also, I love your TJ08.
>>54212458
>Natural light would be better
Almost always! The picture does your build much more justice.
Is that SSD mount something that came with the case, or did you add it yourself?
>>54212290
That was my big gripe with it. I've looked into the Define Nano S, but, I dislike the front-bezels side profile.
I like the Manta, but it's xbawx hueg.
>>54212458
The only thing different about your lay out is where the connections on the reservoir are. Reason I couldn't do that, was, the tubes going to the reservoir would cross the other way as you said, and wouldn't allow the radiator to fit.
>>54212507
I'll have to take a new front and back shot tomorrow afternoon or something, then. :)
The orange in my top picture is from the LED's I've got though.
SSD mount is part of the case, it's some slot in mounts + a pair of metal pieces you can use to sandwich two together.
You can see 3 of the 4 screws the SSD's are mounted with in this picture
>>54212553
I figured that'd be an issue with my layout, though It would theoretically shorten the long snaketube.
Like I said though, your build is good. :)

the problem is that guy with the aptiva and the SD card reader floppy drive pretty much ruined it, it's going to become a mainstream thing to do now, so do it before it gets popular and the price of old computer cases go up.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-E800-NETSERVER-Pentium-III-866MHz-With-767-Mb-of-ram-/272219815808
here's the newer sibling of the E60 I used in the OP image. pretty much exactly the same inside with a couple minor differences-- and I think it has actual mounting holes for a normal ATX power supply, something I had to cut out and drill myself in the E60, as well as the badly-cut-out breather hole in the shelf part.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-NetServer-E60-Pentium-III-500MHz-512MB-RAM-No-Hard-Drive-PC-Tower-/331712487919
This... is how much a pretty much sorta-mint case goes for if I ever wanted a second chance and gut the thing all over again. I've been tempted to contact the seller and see what they'd want for JUST the case, no internal components whatsoever, and make a complete second one, mostly because I can totally just drive to that seller and pick the damn thing up.
issue being, that is FUCKING EXPENSIVE ALREADY. it's sad because both linked examples are just really well-ventilated ATX cases and that's why I went with this case in the first place when the opportunity arose.

Gonna reroute the sata cable underneath and attach the cable bundle to the side once I get my ssd

And case is a Thermaltake Core V1. I highly recommend your next build be a m-itx, I'm having no overheating issues even with stock cpu cooler.

ya it's my first build.
just worried that streaming + an online game will be too intense for an i5 & tried to save on the gpu
>>54227305
No point in streaming if you can't easily play modern games on high settings.
But you do need a good CPU for it.
But you could save money on deciding not to stream because no-one will watch it anyway.

>>54231253
Yes.
ITX has matured and is viable for performance systems now, and most people don't end up using more than one or two PCIE cards, so there's no need for HUEG cases

the era of huge cases sucked.
pic related, I thought this was the most boss thing in 2006 when a friend bought it and nowadays its completely stupid and useless. This heavy shit can pack like three hard disks at most. Lots of super useful 5 1/4" bays though oh boy sure is a lot of shit that goes in those nowadays.
>>54231253
Nah
Full tower coming through, really gotta get my colour scheme sorted out already though
>>54231741
>Lots of super useful 5 1/4" bays though oh boy sure is a lot of shit that goes in those nowadays.
You can put hard drives in them, just gotta get hotswap bays or adapters.
>>54231368
>>54231741
what do you guys do with your spare cases?
reuse,recycle,throw away?
I already upgraded my case twice and now I'm tempted to start a mITX build. (specially since I got less desk space now)
>>54231770
But you could easily fit that in a mid tower, anon.
>>54231820
So far both my old cases have ended up housing builds for my family.
My ATX case went to my brother, and then to one of his friends, and my mATX case went to my dad to replace his full tower.
>>54231789
canadian pesos man, I get the states doesn't have to deal with this shit but adapters are like $14 each plus $12 shipping then tax on top of that by the time you've bought four of them you're shelling out like $70 CAD and by that point you might as well just get pic related because it looks better, is built better and just assembles so much nicer.
Point I'm trying to make is the huge case era produced a lot of crap that just didn't really age well.
>>54231770
