It's just a fact, read any review or try them yourself. Android is an even bigger mess on tablets than on phones pre N (haven't trying it yet) and Windows on a tablet is as shit as it was back in XP times. Also the hardware is really damn nice.

Your company creates an OS and locks down manufacturers to very tight specs. You end up with millions of one set of components instead of millions of different sets of components. This drives down production costs because mass production is more efficient. You build a brand so you can sell comparable components for astronomical prices and make huge profits.

rMBP 13" is cheaper than Lelnovo and Dell in the US, very closely to other ultrabooks world wide.
21" iMacs are similarly priced to other AIOs, 27" iMacs don't even have AIO competition.
