I think my T60 is superior. It's not slim, and I don't want it to be. It can withstand a blow, it isn't some frail piece of shit but the pinnacle of laptop design.
It cost me nothing, it was entirely free. Someone threw it away in pristine condition, nothing was wrong with it but the battery. I got a new replacement battery for it for I think like$15 and threw in an SSD which was $25. Total sum spent is $30, and it works like the day it left the factory. It's got a dual core processor and proper ventilation. Got 4GB of RAM for free, although that would've cost like $5? It's running Arch and awesome wm, very light and it's very fast.
I can't say I wouldn't feel sad if someone stole it, but at least it's not $300. These laptops are sold for less than $50, so worst case scenario, with an SSD, you pay$100 for one.
