Sadly yes and the scrolling is annoying, however despite the UI being crap the music playing features are well worth it.
I never look at my music player though, managed via volume keys with Xposed.

For me it was the parametric EQ feature, i was spoiled with my Rockboxed Sansa Clip+ having one, got used to it and then not having one felt wrong.
Rockbox also has Opus support + ReplayGain Opus support that nothing else but Neutron had by then, i think GoneMAD has that now though.

What are these bugs on phonograph I keep hearing about? I've been using it since forever and it just works.
And my autism makes me properly tag all my music manually and also I download HD album arts so that's probably why I haven't seen this artwork and tagging bug.
What I really wish though is a much smoother animation and scrolling and more updates desu it feels laggy sometimes.

I want to use Blackplayer full time but it splits my albums into 3, cannot detect tags and/or album art, etc.
It's a non-issue if you're a shufflefag but I like listening to a whole album sometimes.
Blackplayer always makes duplicates of the songs on my phone and it's a stock Moto X 2015.

I tried to pirate Power Amp, but it somehow didn't work, since it had to check with my google play account to see if i actually had it.
Either way, if PlayerPro had an option to edit the metadata yourself, it would be perfect for me. I tried Black, but the fact that you can't search yourself the artists and album pics bothers me.

you click on an artist from the mainscreen, and it shows you all their albums
if there are too many albums, they give you arrows to click on to see the next row
so i do my search, artist pops up straight away, i click him, it shows me the albums, but the names of the albums are just barely cut off
so i do one scroll, and it takes me so low now the arrows on top of the albums are cut off
i literally cannot get both the arrows and the album names within screenshot unless i manually position the screen with the little scrollbar on the side

neutron user here. it is great for headphone listening.
for bluetooth though, it sometimes interferes with the inbuilt dac of the bluetooth device but this is where Stock shines
