pic unrelated I assume?

Probably in the minority here, but I really love the manta. Some people think it looks bloated, but I love the rounded look with the solid front panel.

Planning on putting the new system in there once Pascal/Polaris and Zen come out.

Calling that thing a "case" is like calling an 18-wheeler a "car", you're not technically wrong, but come on, it's like two meters tall.

>>54151018
I think the issue people have is more about the fact that it's an ITX case that could very well have fit mATX inside. If the M1 and Dan A4 represent the smallest of ITX design, the manta is possibly the largest.

>>54151076
They also look very neat and tidy inside, as do the new P-series ThinkStations, I also like how the HP Z8XX units look.
Honestly most workstations look very rugged and classy except the Fujitsu ones, which are still 2005 office box design. Shame you can't get the cases separately, but many of the components are proprietary so it would be modder territory or you'd have to dig up the OEM they use. The PCI-E lane configurations are also pretty funky with the Dell and Lenovo ones having slots above and below the CPU for better heat distribution.

Lian Li are sort of a weird manufacturer. They come up with some pretty interesting designs and have GOAT workmanship, but their cases are always kinda awkward in some regard. Like not supporting removable mainboard trays for instance.

I do find that strange since power architecture was always a heat monster, the reason power macs were huge perforated metal behemoths was that half the enclosure was dedicated to cooling the housefires CPUs housed inside.

For reference that's an IBM PS/2 (model 95), bringer of such innovations as the PS/2 mouse/KB ports, 1.44MB floppies, and VGA graphics.
It's surprising how little the basic system layout has changed due to IBM's influence.
