Part of the problem is the album art being smashed to fit the screen, it's nasty.
It's also really unbalanced, everything is in the bottom right of the screen.

Download Nova Launcher, and KLWP. Find some good wallpapers (I'd recommend a website, but I don't know any. I stole this one from some anon) and get a couple icon packs of choice. Then get creative.
