jup, that's true, but there's just a small difference in price between the iphones and the android phones you tested
>Frequent OS updates (with actual new features, too) and you don't have to wait for your carrier
I think it's really funny how you say that iOS ever adds any new features, none of the users I ever asked about it knew any, nor did they use them.
if you buy nexus, no waiting time with android either
>High quality app store
it's not a store in android, it's a market, and that means there's a lot more people offering their stuff, and you can look what you like yourself

>Phones have the best battery lives
never tested it, though android phones usually have easily replaceable battery's so once your iphone battery worsens it's bad forever, and in android you can easily replace it

iFags love making excuses to stand up for their bandwagon iShits. Apple admitted a security vulnerability allowed iCloud accounts to be 'broken into' in a 'brute force attack' manner. Which since your tech-illiterate Mac-brain probably doesn't understand, is the simplest tardiest way to break into something.... it's so easy to avoid but iCloud had a flaw where unlimited credential attempts could be checked for validation without being logged and blocking further attempts.

http://techcrunch.com/2016/03/15/prosecutors-find-that-fappening-celebrity-nudes-leak-was-not-apples-fault/

Hacker Ryan Collins pleaded guilty to stealing a number of nude photos — including ones of Jennifer Lawrence — from Apple’s servers. He was snared by the FBI, and in the process of the trial, it became clear that the hack didn’t involve Apple’s services being compromised through brute-forcing or password cracking, but rather that they were the result of social engineering, in the form of a phishing attack.

Ah, the innocence of childhood. Never having experienced how much faster and more usable the web is minus all the ads and cruft. Never having discovered an app that isn't approved by your phone's manufacturer. Never having plugged your phone into a TV and connected a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to use it as a very portable laptop and run desktop apps. Believing that your device is perfect they way it's shipped and could not be made more suitable to your particular use case, increasing your productivity with only a few minutes of tweaking, if only your phone's OS allowed it...

>bluetooth is useless
So is airdrop then, I suppose. The faster speed is nice, but meaningless should you ever want to exchange data with something not made by Apple. Standards are nice, and newer bluetooth is some faster, and even the slow older kind is still good for transferring small files.
>portable storage is useless
Yes, because you NEVER need a thumb drive. Ever.
>Absolutely useless on a <6" screen
What is an iPad?
>can install apps from anywhere on the web
How do I install a 3rd party app on an iPhone without jailbreaking it? Or is that needed? At least when we choose to root our phones, our manufacturers mostly honor our decisions or at least have the decency to not fucking undo it.
>optimized UI designed by professionals
"Optimized" for one person is not best for everyone. Android gives you a lot of freedom to make a complete unusable mess if you want, but it also gives you the freedom to set up something that lets you get to what you need quicker.

Don't like the look or autocorrect on the stock keyboard? Install something else. Want to give up some screen space to be able to lurk a chat while browsing? That's your decision, not the manufacturer's. Want to copy music to and from your phone just like any other file? Go right ahead, it'll recognize it and play it.

>lest you use them in airplane mode all the time or even better remove the GSM modem
Even in airplane mode the modem is in a passive state and will happily respond to any tracking requests. Removing the modem is the only way to not be tracked.
Technically the wifi-NIC could also have some firmware on it that regularly sends some data to a certain IP whenever it connects but that's easier to find out.
>>
>>54112950
>portable storage
I think he means an sd card in the phone. 50 GB of cloud storage is absolute shit for anything other than backing up. If your network goes down/you run out of your limited network data/or just lose the network then its gone.
>bluetooth send to phone

>I have 50gb cloud storage, that has all the shit I need.
50 GB ain't enough for me though. And it's all useless if you go anywhere you don't have internet.

>It's a lot more convenient than a flash drive and an adapter.
We've been able to stick MicroSD cards INSIDE our phones to add storage since forever. Now it can even be used as additional internal storage.

>If you explain a scenario where sending files with bluetooth is useful, then perhaps I will change my opinion on that.
Anywhere both phones don't have internet. Also potentially easier than logging onto your cloud storage account on their device or getting a share URL into it.

I thought he meant plugging your phone into a computer and using it like a disk where you can just drag files into it instead of installing iTunes.

Openvpn just works two times on android after a boot. After two times I lose all connections, including gsm. Only reboot helps.

I'm guessing it's an openvpn app related bug, though. Havent updated it this year at all as I only occasionally have to open up a vpn to work. Dont care enough to find out the culprit.

Android fag here

I literally don't give a shit, they both have their own advantages and disadvantages

Android has good customizable features, more open-source market and coding, shit like that

iOS are just generally less laggy, smoother, and when youre actually out and about, and using your phone, that 1 second faster and smoother interface actually adds up compared to Android

Androids have more features yes, but it's for a smartphone ffs. Most normal people use their smartphone for making calls, browsing net, and sending/recieving texts/emails, which iPhone does better

Android is better for many other things because extra features, but if you are someone who won't use them, there's no point going for it

For tablets Android is definately the way to go, but for phones, I would say both are almost on the same level, with advantages and disadvantages

Custom aosp-based roms provide the smoothest AND the most feature-rich user experience. Basically, you haven't seen Android if you haven't tried them. No, CM doesn't count becuase it's almost as bare-bones as pure aosp yet comes pre-bloated with useless apps. Look for something like Exodus, crdroid or euphoria.

- iOS isn't terribly consistent. It has shitty interface guidelines and most apps don't even follow them.

Not every app can use the same interface. I'd rather have an app that was designed to work to its full potential even if the interface isn't completely the same than one that looks pretty and is worthless.

But hey, that's the name of the game with iPhones.

- Android is significantly faster than iOS. The only reason you never notice how slow iOS is is because it's covered up by 2-3 second animations.

- You download apps from other places when you actually create your own, need an older/newer/specific version, need an app that wasn't approved by Apple, etc.

Then again, being the brainwashed cuckhold you are, you're probably content with eating whatever shit Apple gives you.

- Android market share is light years past iOS outside of nigger infested ghettos.

- iPhone battery life is shit (even after all the optimization) and you know it. You will never run Crysis on a Commodore 64 and you'll never get good battery life when all you care about is "muh slimness".

Fucking kill yourself. You're on a board that's intended for power users/enthusiasts/professionals and you obviously don't do any development, have any clue on what good UI design is, don't understand the limits of the hardware, etc.

Apple went down the shitter with Jobs. It's OK to admit that.
