So I've started listening to music for, well, pretty much the first time in my life and I'm starting to actually diversify my portfolio and kind of experience it for the first time. It's been a neat new thing for me to enjoy but despite how early I am into this, I'm having difficulty finding music I want to check out from "safe" sources (read: direct HTML downloads.) I'm on a college mass-provided internet connection and I dont know how strict they are about letters and all, so I don't want to risk hitting up TPB and getting RIAA rape threats in my mailbox. With that in mind, I'd kind of like to start with private trackers.
The only problem is... where the hell do I start? All I have to contribute is a 50Mbit/s upload connection that I can have always-on and always-seeding on my Cubieboard with plenty of space for torrents, but I don't have really much of any content to provide that isn't already out on the web (I mean, I'm sure I could find SOMETHING, but not music, that's for sure), and I doubt that's a worthwhile enough portfolio to even warrant an interview. I'd probably just get my application dumped; if I didn't, I'm sure they'd reject me based on the fact I have absolutely shit zero experience with music so far.
So what should I do, /ptg/? Should I even bother? Can I just be willing to work hard and put my seedbox forward and make painfully slow progress?
