To be honest I barely recognize any difference between Apple products these days. Seems all of them are just "like the other one but slightly better hardware".
The new macbook will just be two ipad pros stuck together, the bottom being primarily an on screen keyboard.
The OS will be called OS X, but will be "fused" with iOS to pride an "immersive" and "revolutionary" UI. Like iOS users will only be able to install Apple inspected and Apple approved apps from developers who pay Apple. This is for the user's own protection (chinese malware, pedophiles, terrorism, etc.).
