Windows won't let me use 4 displays on my graphics card because 1 isn't Display port. On Linux I ran arandr, enabled my display, and dragged it to the proper position. It literally just fucking works. If I want that display to work under Windows I have to buy a $90 active display port hub and connect them all that way. This free software is shit meme needs to die. Some is better, some is worse. But most of it is better.

Nobody gives a shit about your edge case or Windows itself for that matter. It just so happens that the best software is on Windows, so that's why people use it. Freetard equivalents are generally trash, but even in the rare cases where they're the best thing around, they're available for fucking Windows anyway.

That's bullshit. There are only rare software that have no better free alternatives. And those are rare professional stuff that you probably won't need.

Install Visual Studio. It takes atleast an hour. Then try installing a C++ library say boost for example. That's another hour. Then another hour trying to configure your build system because something broke. Start developing.

>Debian
Comes with gcc/g++. Comes with a text editor. sudo apt-get install boost takes not much longer than download time. Use apt-get to install a text editor if you don't like the default, or install an ide. Doesn't take much longer than download time. Start developing.

Drag and drop works out of the box. auto-resize works just by installing "spice-guest-tools".

As opposed to all the amazing arguments presented against Windows by the freetard OP?

>You can just use Windows from within Lincux and not have to deal with a shitty freetard OS! I think this is a point in its favour for some reason!

It was the typically aggressive and autistic freetard who started the name calling, incidentally, unable to accept that not everybody else shares their world view. Why would anybody make an effort to write a meaningful reply?

>I think this is a point in its favour for some reason!
if you're going to compartmentalize an OS, might as well be the shitty, insecure and invasive one so it doesn't fuck up your system

especially considering there's nothing even half as good as KVM or Xen on windows

>unable to accept that not everybody else shares their world view.
I am both able and willing to accept that some people just don't know better

>Why would anybody make an effort to write a meaningful reply?

>>
>>54035246
Try installing panda with pip. It's PITA. First you have to install C/C++ compiler, which retarded Microshit doesn't host itself, so you have to install some bloatware which includes it. Then, if you are lucky, it will compile, if not, you will have to get the binary.
>>
>>54035096
>gcc
I didn't have any significant problems getting gcc on windows. Maybe you're just retarded?
>>
I have an intel processor capable of this, I can connect my iGPU to my monitor through HDMI just fine and all.

The issue is that from what I've heard this takes quite long and I'm not really that happy to watch videos on a virtual machine because the intel hd 4600 might not be amazing (not even sure how DE performance will be with that).

What I know is I would have no issue with multiple monitors because my monitor has two HDMI inputs and a DP one, but still.
>>
>>54035318
I can even play CS:GO on my intel hd 4600. It has low fps on high resolution but on low resolution, it works just fine. Videos and everything else flies.
>>
>>54034739
You do realize you are playing against bots right?

It's impossible to win against a bot that calculates odds on the fly and can't be bluffed.
>>
>>54035369
I can win against any bot, if it can't see my cards. Bots are shit at poker.
If you mean PokerStars is running its own bots, you are wrong, they are pretty trustable.
>>
>>54035347
The resolution I plan to use is 2560x1080. I know for a fact that my 280x lags a bit on that with things like Gnome 3, KDE or Cinnamon but then I'm told everywhere that such thing is because AMD drivers suck (which by the way I tried both proprietary and open source).

A few days ago something went really wrong with my bios on my motherboard, bought a new one with HDMI, supports a higher resolution than that but of course I'm left wondering if that would actually work.
>>
>>54035393
Oh sorry then, my experience is with 1080p only.
>>
>>54034665

>>

>>
>>54035416

>>
>>54035386
Maybe a shitty bot.

But a bot programmed to only play then percentages doesn't give a shit about weather you are bluffing or not.

If it gets a hand on the turn with 80% odds in its favor it will call you, Or maybe even raise you.
>>
Could I play league of legends on KVM on an x220 with Intel HD3000?
>>
>>54035458
It can't know correct percentages if it doesn't know my cards. There is no way to do that. It can construct a range of hands I could have based on my history, but I could beat that by changing my style.

>>
>>54035458
Bring on any bot, I will play against it for money if you want :)
>>
>>54035484
But still it has a leg up on you because it can calculate the odds of it's own hand and every time someone folds it's odds increase.
>>
>>54035416
How is the class? I'm thinking about taking real analysis in the fall.
>>
>>54035567
It will calculate odds against random range, which means, it won't give it much. Bot can be easily beatable unless it does some logical reasoning, which I doubt any bot does currently. Even then, humans can do better logical reasoning(at least for now).

Consider this: Bot has AA, raises preflop, I call with lower pair and hit a set on the flop. For the bot, it will have 80% winning chance and will easily go all in and lose.
>>
>>54035581
pretty interesting.
>>
>>54034665
MUH GAMES
>>
>>54035567
BTW, calculation of odds of your own hand is matter of seconds and I can do it too with some software.
>>
You can only you use Linux if you think you will never have niche issues that you would need taken care of.

For example, I bought a xiaomi phone and wanted to unlock the bootloader and to flash a custom recovery and rom.

You literally can't do that on Linux.
>>
>>54035168
Oh, sorry, misunderstood you there. I prefer either Xfce or Fluxbox, but I got no problem with Mate. Gnome and Unity are the only two that I absolutely hated using. Other than that I've found things to like about all the rest.

>>54035218

I'll give it that. Gorgeous doesn't make up for being so awkward and clumsy to use though. I can make Fluxbox gorgeous too, but it's also as functional as I want it to be as well. Unlike Gnome it's meant to be customized, and doing so couldn't be any easier. I can change absolutely every tiny aspect of it, just by editing simple text files. It's also extremely lightweight (though one could easily go overboard and bloat it too), which is a nice plus, especially on older or more limited hardware.>>54035218
