Your hardware's already backdoored by Intel.

No such thing. The old Windows7 style control panel is still there

They've said the goal is to get rid of the old control panel and move everything to the settings app so enjoy it while you can.

>Linux = 100% NSA
No, it's Linux torvalds and the kernel maintainers.

>SELinux
1. It's completely an optional access control mechanism (MAC) which is replaceable by RBAC system or apparmour. Or tomoyo

2. SELinux is thoroughly audited by distro maintainers. They actually can read codes, unlike you.

3. This is not a proper argument but Russian/Chinese/N Korean Defense use Linux for a good reason. Had Linux been backdoored by the NSA, they would not run GNU/Linux exclusively

>Julian Assange: Debian Is Owned By The NSA

>Assange mentions how Debian famously botched the SSH random number generator for years (which was clearly sabotaged). Speaking of botched security affecting Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, SuSE, *BSD, and more, the nightmarish OpenSSL recently botched SSL again (very serious – updated comments on how a defense contractor in Finland outed the NSA here?) It’s very hard to believe this wasn’t deliberate, as botching the memory space of private keys is about as completely incompetent as you can get, as this area is ultra-critical to the whole system. As a result, many private keys, including of providers, were potentially compromised, and much private info of service users. Be sure to update your systems as this bug is now public knowledge. (For more on how OpenSSL is a nightmare, and why this bug is one among many that will never be found, listen to FreeBSD developer Poul-Heening Kamp’s excellent talk at the FOSDEM BSD conference.)

https://igurublog.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/julian-assange-debian-is-owned-by-the-nsa/

>Who found the Heartbleed Bug?
This bug was independently discovered by a team of security engineers (Riku, Antti and Matti) at Codenomicon [defense contractor in Finland] and Neel Mehta of Google Security…

NCSC-FI [Finland National Cyber Security] took up the task of reaching out to the authors of OpenSSL, software, operating system and appliance vendors, which were potentially affected. However, this vulnerability was found and details released independently by others [Google Security?] before this work was completed.

>Google Security means NSA/US Govt, effectively, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t also the authors or that they didn’t catalog it for their own uses long ago. It may mean it simply went wild so they’re closing it now and graciously reporting it.

I'm not scared of Windows 10 but I must say that it is a piece of shit. Let me give a few examples.

In some windows/areas you can't use the mouse wheel to scroll.
In some windows/areas you can't use two finger swipe to scroll (not linked with the previous issue).
Sometimes when you are navigating through Settings pages, if you click the back button up the top you go somewhere completely different to the previous page.
Some settings pages will have a link to "additional settings" that will just open up a legacy window from Control Panel which has all the same content except you can actually right click on items to get more options.
Even calculator will occasionally bug you to give feedback about it, and it covers up the display area to do it.
I installed Japanese language support for typing and shit but for some reason while Windows itself is still in English it has decided to make all the "apps" Japanese.
Something happened messages in the notification area are not informative and often don't take you to more information even when the OS does actually have more information available.

Basically the OS is a shambles. They've rushed it out and are forcing people to upgrade into it because they've sold it as a "rolling release" and they know they can fix things later.
It feels more like an open source project.

Also, the metered connection option isn't directly linked to a particular network's settings, yet it totally is and that's fucking bad design.

>SELinux is a product of the NSA and some worried when it was added to Red Hat, Fedora, and later many other distributions. Even before Snowden revealed the massive government spying, having the NSA anywhere near Linux activated certain Spidey-senses. Now we learn that SELinux may have had an exploit for bypassing the security enforcements. Italian software company Hacking Team, who admits to providing “technology to the worldwide law enforcement and intelligence communities,” has been selling technology to governments (most with bad human rights records) to assist in gathering surveillance data on citizens, groups, journalists, and other governments. Recently Hacking Team was hacked and their information has been leaked onto the Internet. Besides the SELinux exploit, it’s been reported that the FBI, U.S. Army, and the Drug Enforcement Agency are or were customers of Hacking Team’s services.

The difference with Google, Facebook and Microsoft is that with Google and Facebook you have some degree of control over what you feed them. What you do online is public and what's on your computer remains on your computer.

Microsoft invades that safe space and breaks in into your computer. They both spy on you online and offline.

They do. Intel does advertising and needs telemetry data just like Microsoft, just not as much. I guess you're okay with getting spied on as long as its not by M$, which is why you have a Facebook account and an Android phone.

What's even spookier about the CPU back door is that it can execute commands remotely, unlike the W10 spying.

BSD IS ALSO BACKDOORED

>I have received a mail regarding the early development of the OpenBSD
IPSEC stack. It is alleged that some ex-developers (and the company
they worked for) accepted US government money to put backdoors into
our network stack, in particular the IPSEC stack. Around 2000-2001.

Since we had the first IPSEC stack available for free, large parts of
the code are now found in many other projects/products. Over 10
years, the IPSEC code has gone through many changes and fixes, so it
is unclear what the true impact of these allegations are.

>>54031961
>2. the NSA needs at least one secure operating system to protect themselves from chinks
SELinux doesn't exist to protect the NSA from outsiders. SELinux exists to enforce clearance levels *within* the organization.

Look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell%E2%80%93LaPadula_model

This is what SELinux is roughly based on; but SELinux also supports e.g. having different clearance levels in different subdivisions (or projects).

In general, it's just an extremely complicated set of permissions that extend beyond what classic UNIX permissions can do. It's not some sort of “anti-hacker” mechanism, except coincidentally.

There goes your SELinux meme
What next?

Let's call your half-baked trolling "facts" for the sake of argument.

Even then, what's your excuse to be willingly cucked by both NSA and the whole "Microsoft tech support" caste of Indians instead of just NSA by not having a choice?

You didn't explain why do you prefer more people spying on you than less?

You failed at trolling, so why are you even doing this if you're not paid for it? I do it because I enjoy winning arguments and now I'm genuinely curious about your answer to my first question.

>2. SELinux is thoroughly audited by distro maintainers. They actually can read codes, unlike you.
Yeah the same maintainers that didn't catch the most serious bugs in server history for 25 years.

What you also fail to mention is that whilst SELinux is heavily looked at, the rest of Linux isn't and even struggles to get many of the thousands of corners even looked at enough for basic maintenance.

My dad upgraded to it, his mobile broadband stopped working and I couldn't find any solutions, then he downgraded, everything shat itself and his office license stopped working. So after reinstalling everything he upgraded again and now the license works but still no solutions for the broadband.

No wonder normies are scared of it

Don't imply you don't know how 0-day vulnerability works. These occurrences are not restricted to one specific software. When the exploit is invented, software maintainers patch it.
Wangblows didn't even have SSH, so don't even go there

>whilst SELinux is heavily looked at, the rest of Linux isn't and even struggles to get many of the thousands of corners even looked at
I like how you mention SELinux first and then move on to the Linux kernel so quickly, amazing damage control skills.
