>Don't you losers have something better to do than discuss graphs?
We might but it's not even that at the moment. And since only a few here can actually read and analyze graphs properly, they never spring any kind of worthwhile discussion. Not to mention how boring it is to argue about products' frequency response in the first place.

With the amount of shitposting nobody wants to contribute into anything here and the people with interest and know how leave quickly. I don't even bother linking news and stuff because of the absolutely toxic regular shitposters and the idiots who reply, including all Zeosposting, forcing products, OP forcing the "Belgian shiposter", someone spamming /b/ -tier reaction images from ten years ago just to mention some recent ones. Hi guys, I just bought a set of Beyerdynamic dt880 pro 250 ohms. I have had one set of Koss 250 ohm headphones before and they were pretty quiet. I am thinking about buying a cheap, portable amp, but I don't know that it would be worth it over just returning these for a 32 ohm pair.

7506's seal out outside sound very well, I just put mine on my knee and I can barely hear the sound coming from them with loudness at above-average listening levels, but one could tell that anyway by how much they attenuate outside noise in the first place.

Yep, probably one of the best headphones you can get for under 100 dollars. These have been the standard since the 80s when it comes to studio monitoring. you need really good isolation when in the studio. Other headphones don't compare, the best part is that these don't clamp too hard.

I saw Tyll at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

HD600 = boring. Puts ya to sleep, no coherence or passion. To autist it means a flat sound profile, they type of headphones the Borg would be apathetic about.

TH-X00 = Fun. Makes you want to dance, lively and catchy. To autist it means a headphones with an emphasize on bass and treble, they will describe it as "nigger bass" because the antithesis of autism is a negro who knows how to have fun.

I'm not really sure what prices you have there in Europe, so I can't be certain, but your list basically reads like these headphones. Other headphones in this price range that I would personally consider are planar-magnetics, but their sound signature is the opposite of what you want, lots of bass and rolled-off highs.

Besides, everyone knows you only need two drivers even for the most realistic spatial sound, whatever they're trying to do physically could just as well have been done digitally and put bigger/better drivers in.

Because they are saving on cost. Dharma by EnigmaAcoustics did it with success and it's a smaller brand. I have a review sample from Ossic and multidrivers are nothing to scoff at. There is a reason speakers use multiple drivers and it's not to provide a gimmick.
>>
>>54024550
Did you listen to the same content with the LCD X? HRTF encoded sound will sound vastly more spatial and realistic on any headphone, even $20 IEMs. It doesn't mean they necessarily have a good soundstage.

Using that as an argument why they should be used in headphones simply doesn't work. The acoustics here are vastly different.

>There is a reason speakers use multiple drivers and it's not to provide a gimmick.
Bad analogy. Speakers require multiple drivers because they need to move a large volume of air, but large drivers cannot accurately produce high frequencies. Headphone drivers can reproduce all the frequencies that matter.

But that's besides the point, in all the promotional material it's been shown that the drivers were all identical, they're not for handling different frequency ranges but for projecting sound from multiple angles.
>>
>>54024784
Pretty good. I'd say better than the venerable 598s but i'd love to have more time to listen to them.
>>
I have 2 cables going up to my headphones. I can move the cord on my right side of the headphones without anything happening to the sound. But moving the cord on the left can make the sound in the left ear go away. What causes this? Looked at the cable and nothing is broke or bent. Also looked inside the headphones and nothing is broken.

>>54024857
You also only need two speakers for perfect positional sound, get some nice studio monitors with well controlled off-axis dispersion, position them just right in a treated room, and you can enjoy binaural recordings without headphones.
However, each speaker may have up to three drivers (woofer, mid, tweeter; or two mids and a tweeter), because it's necessary. In a headphone it's not.
>>
>>54024731
And very different. Multiple drivers with a crossover network are used in loudspeakers to avoid driver break up modes and allow higher maximum SPL and frequency response extension. This needs room to work which headphones simply don't have and these aren't problems in headphones in the first place. A small transducer like the ones used in headphones work well as full range drivers on their own with good extension, easily enough SPL and in the best cases really well controlled driver break up.

And I assume that the original point of using multiple drivers was to stack them in an array to simulate HRTF which is simply a terrible idea when we have DSP.

>>54024946
Binaural recordings don't work with loudspeakers in a room even if you are correct about only needing two channels for "perfect" positional sound.
>>
>>54024904
Yeah they're working with really passionate engineers that worked for Harman Kardon and Onkyo. They seem to know what they're doing.
>>
>>54024975
>Binaural recordings don't work with loudspeakers in a room
In a highly controlled environment with the right hardware you can. A friend of a friend of mine runs his own recording studio and showed me this trick on their mixing monitors in the booth, the experience was quite surreal. It's simply beyond the level of pedantry required to achieve this result in your own home, which is why surround sound systems exist.

Is this really necessary? It's the first time someone had problems with templates in a long time.
I think an uptade on Op's rules to explain why /hpg/ doesn't care for wireless/headsets might be more usefull since the current version only results in anons asking about it anyway since they don't understand the whys and therefore just assume it's bullshit.
Also something like "if you disagree with a headphone suggestion, give and alternative to whomever asked for help instead of getting mad and calling people shills" since this happens all the fucking time and prompts even more shitposting.
We could also use an updated headphone guide.

Indeed, i think a good way is to link audio news on Op, problem is, i'm pretty sure shitposters would just ramble about how whaever it is sucks.
The problem with shills/brandbashers is that that they attack on first sight, for newfags to /hpg/ (most of the anons making requests) it's hard to know what is solid suggestion and what is shilling/bashing shitpost, maybe a "take every suggestion with a grain of salt and do your own research on what you get here" on Op would help.
On a side topi: The template thing, is it too soon to suggest that Anons make their own? It was fun when it started, then it got old, now however only a handfull of Anons have them, i bet there are new posters with interesting headphones/setups.
