I would honestly switch to android if it weren't for 2 things:
1. iMessage seamlessly works across my desktop, phone, and laptop.
2. iMessage has the little "typing" baloon that pops up when the other person is typing. I find a it helps keep the conversation in sequence. When using SMS, I feel like we are both just blasting messages back and forth. It doesn't have a conversation feel.

I just got an iPhone about a month ago. First ever using the platform. With the exception of the homescreen layout being pure fucking AIDS in its most distilled form, it's not bad. The setting lane actually offers a surprising amount of granularity for an apple platform. More than I was expecting anyways.
