My life is complete. I kinda figured nobody cared but I'm glad it helped at least someone.
As I promised before the ED9 review is coming. My pair of replacement ED9s is arriving tomorrow and I'll have time to give them a review.
For those curious, the ED9s I originally received had a sealing issue in the left ear that impacted soundstaging severely. I contacted KZ and they shipped out a replacement within a few days. Now the sound in the right bud is going out as well, which is giving me some concerns as to the durability of the product in the long run (I didn't exactly abuse them to the point that should be happening in a week's time), but KZ seems to be good about honoring their workmanship.
Once the ED9 review is done I'm going to review the pair of Xiaomi Piston 3s that I own, and also an interesting set of budget IEMs that I found mentioned on Head-Fi, the Superlux HD381fs. If what I read is correct, they might be some of the best earbuds under $100 (for $20) and they're certainly coming from a brand known for great budget audio, but we'll see how that pans out when they arrive. Looking forward to it though.

I went out, came back and the DHL courier was just parking, flawless timing.
They respected the value of the phone declared at $40 (Cubot Note S - $83 DHL shipping included) and re-valued the "$42" phone(Zenfone 2 4GB RAM $223 DHL shipping included) at $105, so in the end I just paid $39 dollars between taxes and custom handling from a $145 custom invoice.
