Windows 1511 update fails every time and it's been that way since November. Nothing I can do will fix it. If I download the iso to do it it just gives me Something Happened.

Get your fucking shit together Windows.

I've been on linux kernal 4.0 for more than 6 months. Both Ubuntu Mate and Antergos/Arch regularly ask me to restart after updating kernal and other system modules

https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/no-reboot-kernel-patching-and-why-you-should-care
I don't know how to do it or when you can and of course you will still need to reboot for some things. The point is that Linux is making an effort to reduce the amount of times you will need to reboot meanwhile Microsoft took the approach to force users to reboot even when you might be working on something.

too bad that only applies to the kernel

Common Sense does not protect you from the malware in windows/ that is windows.
>>
>>53994934
Why don't you just open the Resource Monitor and see what it's doing. Thing is super handy, shows which processes are writing/reading data from which files. Same for network activity.

>>53994934
