I'm trying to find 2 of the best alternative android browsers besides chrome beta.
I do a lot of downloading Internet. Video, flash/webm, but haven't had much success just downloading thought through a browser.

To be honest, theres really no good android browser.
They all suck and lag on one way or another.
There's just some that aren't as bad because they're somehow able to crash less often.

Lightning is the best Android browser. Firefox sadly sucks on Android. It's great on desktop and iOS though.

Why? Do you have one of those phones where the 3 dot menu goes all the way across the screen like pic related? Pro version takes care of this with immersive mode, which I plan to add to free version soon.
Because Naked supports back to Android Eclair and Google does not allow a hook to hide/show the three dot menu on the fly, it complicates things.

I use Firefox with adblock pro, HTTPS everywhere, and cleanquit.
If I could be bothered to root, install the adaway app, I'd probably use Naked Browser. The icon for NB is hideous but the browser was designed by a free as in freedom follower, and the browser is very fast/minimal.

Only problem is that the scrolling feels off compared to Chrome's.
Lightning would be good if it didn't fucking crash all the time and render content faster. Scrolling really quickly = you can see little squares being painted. Fucking drives me nuts. And you can't change or update the built in adlock. And it's literally one guy working on it.
