If you do/don't use Apple Pay/Samsung Pay, why do/don't you use?
>>
I just use my card.
>>
>using your fingerprint as password
>you can never change your fingerprint
>you leave your fingerprint on literally everything you touch
>>
europe has neither so i don't use one
i use my bank's android app. works ok
>>
I use cash because I'm too paranoid about banks.
>>
>takes time to set up
>putting all cards in one local place
>chance of dropping phone when pulling out of pocket every two minutes
>doesn't work on a lot of stores
>gives apple money from every transaction
>>
I use it because I have ten different credit cards but I don't want to keep all ten in my wallet. Having five in my wallet and the other five accessible via NFC means I can maximize my cashback and benefits regardless of purchase type.

When a merchant allows single tap of loyalty card, payment, and coupons it's also convenient.

I just use my bank card. I don't see the point of putting your bank card in another place, instead of just using your card.
>>

Have fun getting robbed.
>>
>>53953086
Have fun getting your phone stolen.
>>
>>53953094
You have a phone too, moron.
>>
I work in retail and we're supposed to accept Apple Pay, but it works like 60% of the time, which is not good for a payment option
>>
>>53953105
>implying I wave my phone around a card machine
>>

My banks app has QR code payments.
It's safer.
>>

yeah? how does that work? like, the cashier takes a picture of the QR code?

>>
>>53953110
yeah i work at mcdicks and this guy tried paying with his phone. dropped it on the cashier desk, it bounced and smashed
>>
>>53953141
there's a camera that you put you phone against and it takes the picture.
i think there's a version where you're the one taking the picture too

>>
>>53952999
not all places accept these, although I know a lot of them do.

Also I like cash because I don't like the idea of having my transaction history in some database
>>
>>53953198
whoah. how many confused cashiers do you get? is it common to use?
>>
I use my debit card. It just works.

>>53953045
Get a credit union. They won't try to fuck you.
>>
>>53953217
how do you keep track of how much you've used and on what then? with papar? pfft!

i don't like cash because i'll end up spending, i'm much more reserved when using a card.
>>
>>53953228
i don't use it, my phone is too slow for that and i'd rather just use my card.
i haven't really seen anybody using it but it is there.
>>
Cuntfirmed. I work in retail too, and there are these people who try using their Apple Watch to pay with it.
It looks really uncomfortable, because you have to hold the button and hold your arm near the cashier desk.
I even saw an Apple Watch with a crack. How?!
>>
>>53953250

I actually keep a paper transaction register despite getting statements from my credit union every month detailing my expenditures.
>>
>>53953250
I don't blow my money impulsively so that's not a concern for me.

Can't speak for the other anon though.
>>
>>53953308
>Apple Watch with a crack
he dropped his arm on it
>>
I use it at my local grocery store, the only place I shop that accepts nfc payment. No issues with it whatsoever, but I'm not sure that it's actually any more or less convenience than just swiping a card.

Chip cards are slow as fuck though. What a pain in the ass.
>>
>>53953328
I think the guy's sleeve cracked it. I've heard how weak those things are.
>>
>>53953357

Good goy.

I rooted my S7 Edge and that disables contactless pay. Fuck Knox.
I wouldn't use it anyway. Cash or card is fine. Card is contactless anyway.
>>
>>53953398
No, it had a really bright blue strap, and it looked shitty and cheap.

don't you have to enable it and signup to use it in the first place?

If you are retarded enough to hold more money that you need at that day, then that's only a problem for you.
Most people don't carry any vast swathes of cash around. Your phone is few times more than most people hold in their wallet, in case you are not retarded to leave out this tiny discrepancy in your logic.

Besides the above, money is the least of the problems of getting robbed in comparison to all the documents you will lose from the wallet which are mandatory to hold at all times out of house, and which can't be stuffed on your mobile phone.

Your reply betrayed you as a retard.

You don't walk around repeating your password out loud.
>>
>>53953542
Whichever country where the police can stop you and ask for documentation, or where you have a requirement to hold them in case of public transportation, or otherwise any other service, which has specific cards and documentation that are required for use.
I'm personally from Hungary.

Most of the 1st world is using "chip and pin", I can authenticate payments in a few stores over NFC.
>>
>>53952999
I don't have nfc and chip and pin works fine.
>>
I use Samsung Pay at places that are unknown. Bitches can't try to swipe the token but can't do anything with it.

It is also incredibly handy if I forgot my wallet at home.
>>
>>53954126

I use Samsung Pay on my S7 because if NFC fails I can use a traditional card reader the same.
>>
>>53954275
I thought the point of using your phone to pay was to get rid of the need to use cards?
>>
>>53954300
only when it works
>>
>>53954300
Yes goyim, exactly that.
>>
>>53954167
More like
>work gets me a free Galaxy Note 5
>forget wallet at home
>goes to work
>can't get lunch because my no wallet
>oh wait, I can use this free Note 5 I got through my employer.
>>
>>53954300
The S7 has a virtual magstrip thing that allows you to use your phone to pay on terminals that are not NFC enabled.
>>
>>53954542
>he doesn't own his own wallet and creditcard

>>53954574
Note 5 does too. I can use mine anywhere.

My Siemens CX70 doesn't have it
>>
>android pay
>Chipped card

If I'm unable to pay with one of these options, I walk out. Vowed never to swipe my cards again.
>>
>>53953538
Except they aren't. There are many ways to trick a machine into letting you access the device.
https://youtu.be/baio0qUj2Lk?t=54s
It's just an example. There are better ways to get a finger print more covertly like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAfAVGES-Yc
Because it's so stupid to use fingerprints as a security measure, the CCC released a high-res fingerprint from Germany's former federal minister of the intern Wolfgang Schäuble.
Also, fingerprints change with age.
>>
I literally only use apple pay to buy apps and make in-app purchases

I live in the northern suburbs of Detroit (actually a fairly wealthy area), and I think I've only seen 3 or 4 terminals in the past two years that accepted apple pay. In all instances I already had my cash/card out.
>>
>>53954731
>cash
if i had a store of any kind, i wouldn't accept paper cash.

>fingerprints change with age
Permanence: This means that fingerprints do not change with time. As aforementioned, the size of a fingerprint increases as the person grows older, but the patterns stay the same.
>>
>>53954949
This is correct, however I highly doubt that any consumer device is using algorithms that can detect such change and accept it.
>>
>>53954998
i doubt that anybody will use any modern device for that long and i'm not sure that it will just stop working as it's a gradual process.
but who says that devices even care about size? maybe only pattern?
