So, which FOSS alternative can do the same?
>>

Tixati can do better.

my guess would be transmission

rtorrent

If I'm going to seed that much then it'll be on a commercial VPS anyway

Holy shit, can we please end these annoying shilling threads? These get posted every singled day and have the same goddamn "muh stalled" "muh malware" and every other terrible torrent client related meme.

It literally does not matter what client you use and nobody cares.

I do basically this on Debian stable with deluge.

I actually started using Debian but the CPU was raped every time I added a torrent and the access to the files was plain shit from my main computer
>>
>>53933288
I should add that computer have 384MB RAM
>>
>>53933288

Wish I could tell you how to resolve that, I actually recall something like that happening a while back but thankfully my box has required so little maintenance after spending a fair amount of time tweaking & playing around with settings that I've forgotten what I did.

That and I have 8gb of RAM on that particular VM. I have about 128gb of RAM on the host (Debian stable as well) and a variety of OSes performing different dedicated tasks as guests.

Yeah, yeah

I've been seeding every private tracker torrent I've downloaded since 2012 with rtorrent. Step it up, cuck.

Nice measurements, OP.

anything else to confirm that number?

I am using transmission (granted unofficial windows fork), its seeding ~20GB and task manager says its using ~20MB ram, but once I close transmission free ram ramps up by ~400MB

that's windows caching doing it's shitty magic
if you full throttle seed a torrent with size of ~100gb it eats a ridiculous amount of ram
>>
>>53933220

You don't need to be smart to shill about shit.

You need to be smart to contribute smart threads.

There's 1% smart threads on this board, so with this equation we can safely say that 99% of /g/ posters are retarded idiots. There.
