How do they do it?
Every thing I downloaded from Rutracker went at LEAST above 4 MB/s, even obscure 70s BDrips with 1 seeder.

Yeah, I do.
But how come there's at least 1 Russian with a seedbox for every single thing on the site?

They also have good quality rules, like at least 5 mbit/s for 720p and 8 for 1080p...

I've been using Rutracker for quite some time now and I can say that it's the best tracker at least for my own needs. No matter how obscure the band is or how rare a concert is - it's all there. And the downloads speeds are always great, even with like 1 or 2 seeders.
>>
>>53932814
Hey gais my private 20gb rips are 100% better then rutracker 20gb rips.

It's because all russians are on fibre internet and the slowest speeds they have are 100mb/s up.

Cause people who live in Moscow have something like 50-100 mbit/s Internet. There is a huge concurrence among internet providers, so they have to draw customers some way or another.
Typically you can get cable telephone + cable TV + 25-100 mbit/s Internet for ~$10-15 in the top 10 biggest cities of Russia.
>>
>>53932760
Have 100 Mbits/s symmetric connection for an equivalent of 20 bucks. Yeah, keep lying to yourself, Franklin.

Not just 10, this number is much bigger. My 100 mbit/s Internet without any pleb options costs $4.
But it's worth to mention situation in countryside
and small towns − overpriced *DSL hell, cheap old network architecture with only one alternative (3-4G mobile connection (coverage is awful all over the country))

Internet speeds both for Ukraine and Russia (most of rutracker users are from these two countries obviously) are fairly high and cheap at the same time. In big cities like Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, Odessa and a few more with over a 2-3mil ppl population you can get world-wide (not your-country-only) unlimited 100-200 mbps connection speeds for something equal to 15-25 US dollars, plus in most scenarios you are getting something like 100-150 TV channels, land-line phone and IPTV playlist for your PC - that's all included into 15-25 usd. You can easily rent from 1 to 10 gigabit unlimited world-wide seedbox (or home) line for under a 100 usd.

But beyond the big cities, the internet speeds and prices are pretty shitty in this countries, especially when it comes to 3G or 4G internet - it's either extremely (really EXTREMELY) expensive in comparison to wired network or you are limited with shitty daily data bandwidth like not more than 512-1024 megabytes of DL+UL in 24hrs period or your speed will be limited so much that you wont be able to refresh your emails or whatever.

>>
>>53935274
Yes, they are. Especially when it comes to hardware prices. In Moscow they are like a bit higher than in EU or US, but in Ukraine it's a real pain to upgrade anything. Personally I live in Kiev and the CPU prices here are at least 100 usd higher than on popular US stores like newegg or amazon or whatever. And it has nothing to do with war, because retailers were making over a hundred usd profits from cpus even before this conflict we have right now. And if you will build and entire PC, then from CPU, mobo, GPU and everything else it will be like at least 300-400 usd higher total price than in EU or US.
>>
>>53935431
It's sad
Can't you buy hardware in Europe country like Poland? I bet prices are fine and less in Ukraine.
>>
>>53935431
Well, to be fair EU prices are way above US prices too.

64GB iPhone SE is $500 in the states, it's 589€ in Germany, and almost 600€ in France. Note the euro and dollar difference too.

Thoug the prices in Ukraine sure suck, even for food, at least rent is cheap for you guys, no?
>>
as a russian, i just keep on seeding my files. no seedbox, just my own computer. i pause seeding when I'm uploading something, but that's about it since unused internet speed = wasted internet speed. right now I'm at ~2500 torrents seeding, oldest torrent is circa 2005. all of them fit on my 5tb external hard drive. sadly i'm too poor for backup drive.

EU prices include VAT, which US don't because their sales tax varies by state or something, but does that apply to online purchases too?

France as usual is being a super jew about shit though.
>>
>>53935527
both. about 50% are rutracker, 2% what.cd, 30% kickasstorrents, the rest i found from btdigg or some other potentially sketchy torrent sites
>>
Pyccкий ITT.
>>
>>53935488
Yeah, rent and stuff like electricity/water/gas are fine if you are hired by some European or American company and receive your wages in usd or euros.

>>53935484
Sure you can. A lot of people here are buying stuff from Germany, Poland, US, China. But if you are doing so, you are getting limit on what you can buy to not exceed monthly tax-less import quota or else customs will charge for some crazy amounts of money.

>>
>>53935543
>but does that apply to online purchases too
Oh yes.

Also taxes or not, they just take the dollar prices and change the sign with €. Though obviously getting jewed out with EU incomes isn't that noticeable.

>>53935647
like not being able to upload, but getting shit speeds because there are 1-5 faggots with seedboxes who really just cheat the ratio system by monopolizing the seeders? only no ratio torrents make my ratio be at least acceptable
>>
>>53935682
Your reason for disliking private trackers is that the content is so well seeded at speeds that are too high. Think about that for a second.
>>
>>53935682
Seedboxes are basically p2w if we are talking about ratio, but they are also very fast so you can easilly download something
>>
Russian internet is times better than american internet.
>>
>>53935715
His reason for not liking them is because in order to stay as part of the site, you must upload what you download which is next to impossible because of 4 or 5 super seeders who fuck everyone.

Why don't you think about it for a second faggot. Being well seeded won't help you if you get booted for not being able to seed or you can't download anything because you're still trying to seed back the last one over the last 3 months.
>>
>>53935742

>>
>>53936485
>Name a single private tracker site that doesn't kick you out for having a less than a minimum upload to download ratio

Shit nigger pretty much all of them. BTN is ratioless so you don't even need to keep a ratio on that. All other trackers have rules and usually max out at keep at least a 0.6 ratio at the top tier.

Not to mention freeleech torrents, Bonus points, seedpoints etc. Besides whatcuck which is so monolithic that they don't need extra incentives (also because from what I've seen musicfags are the most autistic hoarderfags) most other trackers provides lots of rewards for keeping a good ratio if you just leave torrents seeding.

Trackers after all need members for it to work. There's no point in making things hard for their own users. Except for whatcuck but fuck whatcuck.
