The opposite of obsolete. Unused because we're not there yet. In the future people will have things implanted that do the exact same stuff as glass the only difference is it will be socially acceptable.

VRC

Though I've always have a major concern. I love technology and the improvements to it. I fucking hate VRC's and want to convert them all to digital/DVD's. However, I also am scared of an EMP fucking wiping everything out. I am aware that VRC's are NOT flowing with electrons and have a decent self life.

I see it as high and mighty tec is now, and it being brought down low by an EMP attack, and then VRC's become the new norm until things get built back up.

They're a decent physical deterrent to people that want to steal your car. It greatly increases the effort required to steal the vehicle.

Either you take the vehicle on a flatbed. Or you snap/cut the steering wheel (softer material than the club). Both of which make stealing the vehicle much more cumbersome.

You know they are still using midi to process literally every music made?
>>
>>53929856
no they can't tell you for having it out in plain sight in your car
>>
>>53933218
That is just inaccurate grampa, since a good while now everything gets connected by usb or firewire and gets emulated to midi.
And don't give me latency arguments, they exist as much on midi as on the other types, it's not my fault you can't into asio4all or have a decent computer for musics
>>
>>53933285
That is still midi. It doesnt matter if it gets just emulated. Without midi no music

Thieves will do anything to steal your shit. The only way to prevent it is by not having things worth stealing.

Someones $2000+ bike with the toughest lock on the market was stolen by sawing off the pole it was attached to.

You'd be surprised how many burglaries are done on pure impulse. Some thief walks around the neighbourhood intending to steal something, spots an unlocked vehicle or open window, and decides to give it a try. A steering wheel lock is a pretty good deterrent.

I am a screw tightener. When I was in the Marine Corps, motherfuckers used to get so mad when I would tighten screws on out 530 cables in our Promina(mux devce) because it would delay swapping/troubleshooting and small flatblades were hard to come by. Yet those same faggots were the same to bitch when """""""" comm gremlins""""""""" would make comm drop. Low and behold, it would usually be a layer one issue.

The greater problem is that the second comm would go down, maybe nothing would happen, maybe some faggots call home would drop, or maybe a predator/drone would lose the link which has too many ramifications to list. All from not screwing in cables. I'm done.

I used to have an alienware M15x. Best laptop I ever had, handled games well, and came with an instruction manual telling how to tear down the whole damn thing. The inside was very modular. And battery life was decent since it switched between dedicated and integrated graphics depending on what you were doing. Still it weighed like 8 pounds though

It's better because you have more control over your vehicle, the speedup depends on the car, not manual or not. Don't be a pleb, the automatic transmission is the cause of most accidents today.

As a machinist let me just say that I hope you fall into a pit with 999 exact copies of yourself. If you think one of you is bad, imagine what 1000 of you will be like. Also the pit would suck too.
