I've been trying to install Manjaro on my desktop for awhile now, every time I try to boot it off my USB it just hangs at this, I believe it's something to do with my hardware as it works with laptops. My internals are:
AMD FX 9370 CPU
Reference Gigabyte 980 Ti
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

(you)
I had a similar problem, try disabling acpi at boot
You're legitimately retarted
>>53912692
It's being triggered by your events.
Stop what you're doing and embrace socialistic leftism.

Can I do that in the bios? I've looked but haven't found anything
>>53912692
It's pretty obvious, your build triggered Manjaro.
>>53912692
Try the unstable build, i was having problems with booting the latest stable a few days ago.

disable c6 state, most linux livecds fail to boot when it's enabled.
>>53912913
I've already tried that and I had the same results
why would you use something with a name as disgusting as "manjaro"?

usenomodeset
and if you plan to use Linux get used to googling your issues.
if you get boot problems like that, boot into the grub recovery shell, check the whole boot log, and see what line it freezes at.

How do I do that? I've gone into the kinda terminal thing when you press e in the USB boot menu and tried different things in that though I'm not really sure where to put it or what exactly to wright.
>>53913338Find the line ending with quiet splash. Add your boot option before these key words - i.e. so the line looks like [...]nomodeset quiet splash
Press CTRL + X to boot
