I use <2GB USB keys to upgrade the firmware of old CISCO like the 890 (FAT 16 compatible).
Way back in the day I had a GPS device that transmitted FM and could play mp3s off SD cards. I used to have albums as SD cards and swap them out like CDs. I had a little SD card case too. But that was way back, in tougher times.
