Enjoying your throttling, friend?
>>53898578
My macbook pro has never throttled. Get the 15 inch model and not the pleb 13 inch model and there shouldn't be a problem.
>>53898591
>just pay an extra 500 dollars for 2 more inches, goy!
>>53898618
how about you stop being poor?
>>53898618
the macbook pro retina 15 inch is actually decently priced to comparing models.
>>53898645
*decently overpriced

Refer to >>53898636 , satan.
>>53898645
if you want performance, premium feel, OSX, and prefer the 15 inch form factor, sure.
Most people only want performance and enough durability to not die in a laptop bag on the way to work.
MB Pro is a premium product even in the business space, most won't care about the looks.
>>53898705
>some people don't require said device's features
>do not buy! do not buy! it's garbage!!!!!
>>53899035
I'm not saying that. MBP is far from garbage, but many would prefer the money in their pocket over the very high build quality.
some people prefer 13 inch laptops as well, but an anon above mentioned throttling on the MBP 13 (I'm guessing less airspace or smaller radiator surface)

got 13' 2015 - best notebook ever owned, no throttle no fan noise
got 15' 2015 from work - great notebook, makes some fan noises sometimes but it's wayyyyyyyyy better than what you guys want to believe
12 inch MacBook non-pro is the perfect laptop
If you need power go to a desktop
>>53899164
Would I look autistic with that macbook and my topre, since the 12" kb is terrible
>>53899203

Nowadays I see through the "beautiful amazing mind blowing design" fad. I rather keep the freedom to do thing my way instead of being tied to bad system management, large GUI buttons, crappy workflow etc.

>>53899508
cause surely that's what me as a senior dev does right? beautiful design?
I've even put a list of some of the pros for you as you clearly never used osx for development.
you can still use linux (no arch / gentoo / other retarded distros) for development but it will take way more to do your job you might get stuck by just plugging a usb stick that's not compatilbe somehow. When linux will have drag n drop install/uninstall - proper multi screen support - hidpi support - no sound issues - great battery / power handling out of the box then I might think about it... they were near something cool with eOS but development is super slow
go keep your freedom somewhere else

Uhh, the platinum cable doesnt actually apply here.
Platinum cables features are literally useless for the cable to function. MBP features are standard and do equate to a better user experience. There's no snakeoil in the features, they all legitimately do something
