Im an amd fan but this really isn't ok.
1. was done today, I recently sold my 970, bought a 7870 xt to hold me over til pascal+zen. Doin some over clocking on the xt I think 1175 is as high as itll go without added voltage, but on to the comparison.
2. was a few months back, had a r9 270x, Note that at the time the cpu core was 300mhs higher but still gave me a lesser score then the 7870.

Other then the memory issue it was bottle necked by my pc, the 970 only scored 17600 in skydiver.

7870 XT and 270x are literally the same card. If your 7870 XT is clocked higher than your 270x it will perform better.

The 300+ cpu OC on the 270x bench > 100mhz diff on the 7870 but I could even out the core on the 7870 it would still beat it even having the CPU clock disadvantage

Actually I fucked up. the 270x is a 7870 Ghz. the 7870 XT is considerably better than the regular 7870. the 7870 XT should have been called the 7930.

Just hit a little over 15000 on skydiver, which def justifies selling my 970 it was being held back something fierce

You don't have to travel in time to know Zen is going to be inferior to the current/next-gen intel CPUs. You don't magically get ahead after years of sucking dick.
