I use it all the time when working out.
Punching bag, jogging, weight lifting, etc, dropped it plenty of times, still working perfectly even after ~6 years. Battery has gotten shorter I think, still easily gets ~3 hours on a charge.
It's nice to have something sturdy that you don't need to worry about breaking.

I'd personally turn old but still functioning pmps into car players once I get a decent car charger, can't afford a new stereo so it cassettes or whatever I can play with an FM transmitter.

Yes I use my 250gb classic everyday, it works and until a decent touchscreen replacement comes out it will continue to do so.
