As a lisper, emacs is fucking bloat and is not part of lisp culture, maybe zmacs but that was the text editor of the lisp OS which interacted WITH the OS, note that it didnt try to be an OS on itself.
Simple is best, if you want to see simple check picolisp a sane alternative to CL and can actually be used in production unline scheme.
