So I'm building a gaming pc and I want it to be "future proof" run every game that will come out on ultra for the next 5 or more years. I'm willing to drop the cash but don't want to buy anything too unnecessary so I'm planning on getting a i7-6700 now my question should I go 2 way sli 980ti's or just say fuck it and get two sli titans? I know there is /v/ but you guys actually know about this stuff while /v/ would probably automatically jump to the more expensive thing.

I would try looking on www.google.com (all lower case no spaces) or go to Best Buy those guys hooked me up last time they know a ton about building gaming rigs.

I know, man. I know.

If you don't know why you need Titans, you don't need Titans.

Try growing a brain cell and do your own fucking research

Can't be done. You could install three GTX Titan X's in SLI and it would still not completely max out the most demanding games of 2021.
In 2021 4k will be the video standard, and that's a tall order.

CPUs are future proof now.
GPU aren't and don't bother future-proofing them, you'll just be wasting money.

Yeah I was honestly thinking that but if you had the money to spend would you sli 980ti's? Like when I built my first pc I git a gtx 670 and only recently did I feel the need to replace that like I know the cpu will last but would they last a few years on ultra Atleast 4 is what I would be hoping for? Right now I have an i5 3570k and gtx 970 and that's just not doing it for me anymore. Like it feels like games are advancing faster than technology.
Gets a 6700K with 3000Mhz+ ram. That will last many years.
As for GPUs, you cant future proof.

If you're a gaymer gal, there is no such thing as future-proofing.
