Z3C/Z5C are your best bet, they have a 4.6" screen but very close in size (mms away) from the iPhone 5/5S/SE, thanks to smaller bezels. Good specs too, it's the only small phone in the Android world that makes no compromises on the internals.

Many, many more options in this size range. Again, Sony's Z3/Z5 (full size) is a contender, along with the HTC 10 that is coming out (announcement soon). None of these have removable batteries, but the only mainstream decent phone that has them is the LG G series which you don't like the size of.
One note about the Sony phones, is that they have a glass back and are prone to cracking, sometimes even "spontaneously" (likely due to heat).

I have only owned Nexus phones ever since my first smartphone was a Droid X2. vanilla Android is the only way to go.
You guys are not going to want to hear this, but I'll be as blunt as possible.
I have seen probably 12 different phones go through my family in the last 4 years.
Here's the truth of it all: if you want a phone that gets the job done and will be dependable and supported by pretty much any exterior device/application/process, then it's a mistake to get anything that is NOT an iPhone or galaxy.
If you go with anything else right now, you're taking a risk. The other phones are nice in their own ways. I love the speakers on the HTC One m series. The LG G series has its own perks. Even the Lumia phones have their own pluses.
But the fact is, they're just not supported enough due to their install bases.
With iPhone and galaxy, the process you want to work will ALWAYS work, there will ALWAYS be accessories for those phones in ANY store that caters to phones at all. Want a case? no problem, we have 20. want a case for you HTC m9? Well, we can always cut this one to fit yours...
So if you're going rouge, if that Blackberry 10 Leap or LG G5 entices you, just remember, you're experimenting. Don't be surprised when the world isn't reaching out to support your device like it does with iphones and galaxies.

I'm currently searching the web and the Google play Store for a certain kind of app that I thought of today.
I don't know if this app exists or even really what terms to use to search for it.
I enjoy my job for the most part but I find myself getting antsy a lot of days and trying to get shit done to leave early, but I get paid hourly so leaving early hurts me financially. It's a frustrating mental back and forth.
An idea popped into my head today to help me motivate myself -

I'd love an app that I could start at the beginning of my shift like a stop watch, but it's running with my hourly wage as a multiplayer so I could check this app running in the background and it would tell me how much money I have made at any time. Like how the price rolls up at the gas pump.
That way I could aim at dollar amounts to stay until, instead of looking forward to 5pm or trying to get out sooner.

Funny thing is my iPhone 6S plus used to lag hard as fuck. iPhones are fast but only at the beginning, the lack of RAM eventually catches up and you begin to experience apps/web pages lagging and reloading more and more.

probably a late ass reply but i've been looking into which models specifically are unlocked and shit. To my knowledge there isn't a fully straight up unlocked version of the s7. The fully "unlocked" one you see most places is the 930f version which only supports GSM related bands (t-mobile and att)
