ZeroLemon for the Note 4 is indeed a meme. It has a lot of shortcomings worth considering.
It works fine at first but problems are rampant and keep getting worse. For starters the damn thing doesn't mount on the phone evenly and has areas that wedge or don't mount too well in general, i.e. it's an ugly peace of shit that is far from providing a consistent look.
Secondly, the openings for the s-pen wear out eventually and teeters on the brink of getting ripped off the cover after about a year.
Thirdly, and this is my biggest complaint, which is a real fucking horrible, is the fact that the battery is loose and once the case is a bit worn out, the back gets loose as well, and any sort of shock to the phone forces it to reboot because the battery moves. Even a semi-gentle placement on a table or a 10cm fall onto a rug makes it do this. Absolutely horrible. I tried using a shit-ton of duct tape and pieces of carton and such to seal off the loose areas and even though it did alleviate the issue it was still there. Just horrible. Random reboots because of the battery wiggling on light impact has caused a lot of problems ranging from corrupting app data like browser history/bookmarks/etc. to the keyboard completely having its data purged (e.g. custom dictionary/words) to corrupting the file system entirely (i.e. bootloops). I have Titanium backup and TWRP so these weren't that grave but seriously, it fucking sucks. Get something other than a ZeroLemon for the Note 4.

Though I think you need root for both. You can also use wifi file browser apps to share stuff between your phone and PC if MTP causes too many problems for you. Personally I always use MTP and transfers are always successful and fast for me.

Probably due non-updated versions of windows 7 or XP/vista machines. I've only had problems with MTP like once and that was probably the only time I used USB Share. It was only $2 so idgaf
