Why aren't you using the best browser, /g/?
>Better user interface than Chrome/Chromium: no downloads bar, best new-tab page, full integration with Windows, uses native notifications.
>Supports Chrome/Chromium extensions, plus new, exclusive ones, like sidebar extensions.
>Opera Turbo for even faster browsing/simple vpn. You can browse 4chan in your school/work.
>Active, transparent development, faster and more communicative than any other browser development team.
>Opera for mobiles is god tier too, you can sync your bookmarks and tabs easily.

And now Opera Beta has native ad-blocking, which is faster than uBlock Origin.
>>
What about noscript/javascript filtering?
>>
>>53866310
Because it's a chromium fork that once again uses extremes amount of memory.
>>
>>53866328
You can install uMatrix
>>
what wrong with opera again?

Canary is now integrated with W10 too and has new material re-design which looks better than Opera.

Also, only sandniggers use Opera.
>>
Because it doesn't have any integration with the GApps stack.

Can be the finest browser in the history of the internet, but if you can't get:

A) The level of integration

B) The widespread community contributions and tooling for the ecosystem

Then you have the finest and most irrelevant browser.
>>
>>53866416
>Canary is now integrated with W10
in which way? it still uses non-native notifications and Material Design =/= UWP.

>>53866423
>A) The level of integration
Opera integration is one of the best. It works well in Android, you can even use it as a Home button searcher.

>B) The widespread community contributions and tooling for the ecosystem
Opera dev team is the 2nd contributor to the Chromium project, it also has a great community, the dev team listens the users' feedback more than any other browser dev team.
>>
>>53866530

Integration with Android and the user accounts feature is a start, but it doesn't replace the native integration for Drive, Docs, and Gmail, and other Chrome apps like Caret, Cast, Pocket etc are spotty (unless the tenuous support for Chrome extensions in Opera has been improved upon lately, been a while since I checked Opera).

In short, I have a hard time seeing the benefits of Opera in a world where Chromium exists.
>>

It uses W10 notifications.

But I am using Firefox, anon.

Opera was really great one day. Now it's just chrome.
>>

Said the noob who apparently knows shit. It's the fastest and most secure. Not Tor secure, just talking Malware. Chrome is a fuckinf Malware magnet now.

lol okay
and it still has no cookie whitelisting
it's in fucking beta
>>

Beta... yet still better than everything on the market. Yes, Vivaldi is a win.
>>
>>53866788
If cookie whitelisting is one of your top browser concerns you should just format and install Gentoo.

I guess that's cool

That is of little consequence

Same with every other open source browser

Can't be assed to verify, so I'll give you that
>Opera for mobiles is god tier too, you can sync your bookmarks and tabs easily.
All mobile browsers are shit. The best looking turd is still shit

Why is the comparison even against chrome when there are better browsers?
>>
>>53866337
You DO know that security and sandboxing is why chromium based browsers use a fuckton of memory right?

One thing that I like about Opera is the tab list. Yes, it isn't a tree style tab view, but you can browse through all your tabs easily no matter how many tabs you have opened. It also allows you to see your last closed tabs and the tabs from another device.

>>53866922
>Subjective
Objetive, there is no way you can say the download bar is something better than a drop down list.
The new-tab page is frankly superior too.

>Windows
It's full integrated to OSX and Ubuntu too.

>Same with every other open source browser
I disagree, just look at the constant changelogs made from Chromium's development, it goddamn complex to follow up, and very difficult to know what improvements are being made.

Mozilla does the job better, but it's difficult to give feedback from the dev team. A pretty elitist place, too.

With Opera, you can go to http://www.opera.com/blogs/desktop/ and see the new stuff with every version. You can comment there and the developers usually listen and take the feedback from the users there. There are even more info in the forums.
