I use Arch and it works on the surface but probably have a bunch of underlying problems because my maintenance is effectively running pacman -Syu every day

AUR is great, it makes the distro so much easier than others that are lacking it. There's no need to search the entire web until you find which repository should you add and if it's still relevant or has it changed over the years. Everything is in AUR anyway.
Arch is a little frustrating when you have to set up DEs and default programs even if you really don't want to, you just want another Mint. That's why I'm hoping that Manjaro gets their shit together and becomes the best distro ever for common people. That or some other distro which also does the same, but Manjaro is already out there.
