Okay guys, I need a new smartphone in the next week. I'm on T-Mobile, and I have a budget of $400, $500 hard. I'm looking at getting an HTC One M9 or a Samsung Galaxy S5/S6. Is Samsung's touchwiz really as bad as everyone says it is? I'd get an HTC One m8, but a refurbished one takes ten days to ship and I don't know if I should trust any sellers on Amazon.

Note that the KIW-L22 is the indian variant.
The KIW-L24 is the American one, you are most likely to found on Amazon and eBay. There's a dual sim version and a single one, just runned the test on that version and the only thing you will not get Is UMTS B8 (9000GSM) and some LTE bands, since I don't know which one you use I can't tell you if you will have issues.

Nexus will have better support, as well as a slightly better camera. Battery life is slightly better than the X Pure as well. However as you said it does not have SD support. Though it is worth noting that you can get it sub $300 via Amazon Prime sometimes, so it's a steal.

Moto X Pure is largely stock android, and Moto Maker lets you customize your phone when purchasing one off Motorola's website. It'll be more expensive than the Nexus, but does have better build quality and one of the fastest charge times out there.

What are some good ways to keep my battery keep going if I use Clover, social media ie snap fb, YouTube, Spotify, etc basic bitch shit.

The resale value is down because of project fii and the 5x offer, as far as I know amazon has a deal for $300 on it too. So you might want to wait unless fii promotion runs out this week.

If you are not in America and the unit doesn't have the standard marks of a refurbished unit you might have a sell range from $130 to $170, just don't tell them that is refurbished because they will lower the price to $90-$150.

Haven't been following mobile tech lately, so I'm just popping in for a bit of buyer's advice:

I lost my mobile a week ago in a taxi, and need an affordable, and durable, smartphone.

I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive (~£250) phone, with dual sims, a good screen for reading text, and good web performance (4G is mandatory, I'll probably have one internet sim, and one PAYG sim).

It's also quite important to me that the phone is fully unlockable, and allows you to tinker with it as much as you'd like. I tend to use my phone as a mobile terminal in times of need, so it needs full functionality.

I was originally thinking oneplus 2, but there seem to be all sorts of criticisms stating that it's laggy and has a mediocre build. Now I'm leaning more towards the zenphone 2, which, at least, has an SD card slot.

Any suggestions? I can increase the budget if needed, I just don't see a reason to pay out of the nose for a phone.

Moto G3.

Anyone here got an oukitel k10000 chinkphone? I mainly want it for its insane built-in 10000mah battery and its longevity.

The only concern seems to be the MTK processor and 2GB RAM, coming from a Moto G2 I'm very scared of getting a phone that can't handle apps like Snapchat or FB Messenger without lagging insufferably.

Also I hope to install nova launcher to get rid of the stock launchers hideous icon set.

So can anyone shed some light on the performance of the oukitel k10k?

I've wanted a flagship with a decent camera for a while now (I even considered an iPhone) but didn't want to spend 700 in a single purchase, so I resorted to my carrier contract.

I don't know where in eu you are but a couple of Italian carriers are not bad in terms of flagship contracts. I'm still gonna pay full retail price but over 30 months. And I've got a little 5€/month insurance for screen damages.

Oh and after 12 months I can end the contract with no extra expenses, keep paying the monthly fee or start again with a newer flagship.

Upgrading from a Nexus 5, I want something with a bigger screen, and better battery life. Been looking at the 6P and it seems pretty good, What are the ones that are comparable to/better than the 6P?

Pick a snapdragon variant if possible, Note 3 pro for 5.5 display and 4050mah battery

5X has a slightly bigger screen but isn't a phablet and has better battery life and camera than the 5. 6P is pretty large, but if you're into it you'll be hard pressed to find a better phone. I say go for it.

>>53866856
Zenfone 2 considered harmful. Had one and the bloat drove me nuts, spent too much time disabling and reenabling all the bloatware whenever an update came out, and it was still stuck on 5.0 with the memory leak. So happy I sold it, although I talked to the guy I sold it to and he's very happy with it. Different strokes I guess.

What's a good LG phone to buy? I'll use it mainly for playing some games, listening music, and browsing the internet.

I'm upgrading from a Lumia 635, and I have about 400$ to spend. I never bothered with phones, but I'm needing a new one, because my actual phone is malfunctioning.

So, the corner of my motorola nexus 6 popped out of the case as I stupidly dropped it yesterday, and, of course, that particular corner was the one that landed on the floor first. So the display and touchscreen don't work, but it's still making noises and vibrating when the power and volume buttons are pressed. I actually really liked the motorola nexus 6, not too keen on the fact that they made the nexus 6p smaller, along with removing wireless charging. I also think huawei is a pretty shady company as it is. I'm either in the market for a new phone, or trying to find out if I can somehow repair my old phone myself, since I'm pretty sure phone insurance would just throw a refurb at me. What would YOU do?

>>
>>53871487
Nope, just single 24 year old construction worker that got his right arm broken outside of work and was unable to work for 3 months. Luckily I had 4 months of financial reserves so things went smoothly. Maybe you still live with mom&dad so having financial reserves might not be as crucial for you but it's always good to be prepared.
>>
>>53871532
I still wouldn't recommend it. You don't know how heavily the phone was used. Maybe it went through 300+ recharge cycles and 100GB+ of writes.

Maybe I'm just too paranoid but I've had nothing but bad luck with used phones. Got a used Note 2 for $150 that died a month later, wouldn't turn on no matter what I did. Then bought a used S4 that suddenly froze a few months later and was froze to the boot animation no matter what I tried.

Is there anything that this phone is too under-powered to effectively do? I'm buying my first smartphone, and the allure of a ruggedized phone with 3GB of RAM, good battery life, and a thermal imager is just too great. I'm also considering the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, Motorola Droid Maxx2/Moto X Play, and Sony Xperia Z5/Z3/Z2, based on 2GB+ RAM, 4.5"-5.5" screen, GPS, NFC, SD slot, and 3000mAh+ battery. Dont get confused, its a pretty fucking big deal.

The Galaxy S6 was released in April of 2015

It had serious software problems that werent remedied till literally a week ago, after the S7 was released.
Not to mention the locked down bootloader. And of course the hardware Efuse that makes rooting so much harder..

Being at the mercy of samsung and then your carrier is a huge fucking deal. Ask anyone who dealt with a slow laggy piece of garbage S6 for a whole year.
