Nvidia will do something disgustingly immoral, cost more than AMD and edge it out. AMD will try their best and fall flat, only to eventually level with a year-late driver update and very tasty price point.
At the end, it's usually on a game-by-game basis and traditionally nvidia wins if only because they can afford to be complacent.
the 1050 and 1060 will never be worth their price because that's nvidia's business model

I'm not buying nvidia. 90% of their gpu features like gameworks, nvidia shield etc. are practically unused in most of the games I play. Plus they overprice everything, g-sync which is their variant of free sync always comes at $200 more. They also broke everyone's cards with the latest driver update. I'm not buying nvidia, way too many fuckups to make it feel like a secure option. I'm going for amd polaris.
