What cheap Chinese tech have you bought, and would you recommend it?

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on eBay, AliExpress and similar sites.

While I like just shortening the title ot /csg/, it ends up making it harder to find for most newcomers. People who want to make inquiries about the fishy links they see on ebay will notice a "Chinese Shit General" before anything else, and "Chink Shit"/"Chinese Shopping" are both whiny bullshit tier. There needs to be a name for this thread to survive.

I bought a pair of trousers and while I got the waist right, they're so damn slim I can literally not bend my legs in them. Bought a comfy oversized hoody for my gf and while it's supposed to be oversized - and clearly a copy of a western brand / product - I ordered XL just to be sure. Chink clothing seems to generally run very small so ordering large when you're small isn't strange.
Check the sizing chat very well. Read reviews if there are any - if there aren't any look for other sellers selling the same product and if they have any reviews.
It's quite some work to get it right though when you do it's great value.

See, this is my current problem:

I dont have a 12v DC PSU. But luckily I do have these 3S 11.1v LiPo cells for my heli, and after soldering on some leads, it worked!

Problem is I gotta charge the batteries to use them, and I'm a bit afraid of overvolting the board because I know LiPos actually charge up higher than 12v at full charge.

Hopefully it wont be an issue and I can report back with sound quality.

>>
>>53835091
If you know what you're doing, you can get away with the bare chips BUT keep in mind they're SOP-16, which means they're SMD, which means you can't plug them into your breadboards or proto board. If you're etching your own custom circuit boards, get the bare chips and use SMD components, otherwise get the modules.

How does the Xiaomi sd/sim slot eject tool work? Poke it into the hole and it ejects itself (spring loaded)?
>>
>>53835121
So I can't just solder a 5v power supply to it and expect it to work?
>>
>>53835199
It might work, but it wouldn't be as good as the module which has filtering, etc via the passives on the board.

If you just order the bare chips, how do you plan on using them? Deadbugging them all?

dead bugging is soldering directly to the pins of a chip.

You can't use a surface mount chip (which the SOP package is) with a breadboard or proto/stripboard, so you'll have to do all of the connections manually. Look for DIP (dual in-line package) amplifier chips. The OPA2134 has a good reputation.

Just bought this Lingyi mechanical keyboard for ~$30. It uses a Cherry's cloned switch named outemu. Compared to my filco majestouch (which is 5 times more expensive) it is surprisingly well built and even come with a plastic cover/key cap puller. The switch used is okay-ish and feels good when type on. Not sure how durable it is though.

iBuyGou is an official Xiaomi reseller, one of the few, so it's likely that Xiaomi work with them to provide that kind of marketing. They sell legit, new in box xiaomi products and you can verify their reseller status on their website, unlike gearbest and ali sellers.

>>
>>53835914

American Xiaomi orders from non-official re-sellers get the global ROM flashed. All Xiaomi phones sold outside of chinkland are opened and contain the chink retail packaging.
>>
>>53835919
I've imported a knife to Australia before, it's important to know what is allowed and what isn't.

These things aren't allowed:
>One handed flip/spring knives, or anything that can be opened with one hand
>Balisong or similar knives
>Concealed lives or knives that are multi/every day objects
>Knives that are large enough to be considered swords or daggers
>Knives where the blade does not lock

This narrows down knife selection to:
>Knives that can only be opened with two hands
>Knives that do not have any automatic mechanism
>Knives that lock when in both open and closed position

You may have to sign a clearance form when it reaches customs, but if it meets all the criteria then it'll go through.
>>
>>53835981
can you actually not lol
